Levy needs to put a cork in Harry's mouth.

Hmm same old stuff really.. But harry said that the chairman has put in a 'big' bid for Downing.

But the original alleged £6m bid would be big by Harry "bargain bucket" Redknapp's standard.

Levy needs to have a serious word with Redknapp. Banging on the media about our targets is bad enough - in light of our very recent hissy fit we had when Ferguson hinted he was confident of signing Berbatov - but saying I wouldn't sell him if I was Portsmouth is plain stupid.

The difference being, we've put in formal bids and the world and his wife know it. All rather different from United's underhanded discussions with Berbatov and Dantchev—and Levy's own underhand pursuit of Random.

Harry obviously has changed his mind and now doesn't want Defoe because he is definitely doing his very best to kill any possible deal!:rofl::rofl::rofl:

I wondered how we were going to handle the transfer window. You have Levy's history of saying nothing to the media until a deal is done vs Harry's well established history of blabbing into any microphone about any other team's players. I have always been surprised that Harry has not been fined several times over the years for this.

to be fair Boro, Pompey and West Ham all went public first. Rednapp is clearly nswering questions and rebuffing accusations of causing player unrest

Harry's showing that reverse psychology still works in today's world of football transfers...

Following from questions on Downing and Defoe, Harry was asked about Bellamy on SSN a few days ago, and sidestepped it by saying he didn't want to keep talking about other club's players. Usually, he is responding as straightly as he can to journalist's questions. Pompey and Wham both indicated their players would be sold if they received acceptable offers, so he can hardly be accused of trying to unsettle them.
