But he's not majority owner is he?

I thought he owned 30%?

Joe Lewis and ENIC owning the rest? Surely someone is scrutinising his performance?
ENIC owns Spurs. ENIC owned 50:50 by DL and JL family trusts

Albeit I haven’t looked at the structure for years.

Point still stands mate. What owners get held to account?

I understand many are feeling raw...but what's happened has happened.
It's rolled on for a number of reasons...not just Munich, not just Levy, not just Kane and his family.
The timing is not ideal - but there are enough good players in that current squad to beat Brentford on Sunday.
Ange can use the spotlight to fire up the lads a bit...and actually prove that his way of playing football is a far greater contributing factor to success than a single striker.

There are opportunities here...and yet most on this site are in a hysterical spiral of doom and blame-mongering.
Life doesn't give a shit...it just keeps moving.
So should the club and its supporters.
Onwards and upwards...and let's look forward to a season of football played in the Tottenham way, with other players scoring a bucket of goals.

It's so hard to separate the wheat from the chaff with these media sources.
Just got sent this: don’t know strength of source

So moving to another prem club on a free would’ve made you happy? He’s probably done the best thing for this club apart from signing a new contract of course.
I wouldn’t have made me happy. But I’d have lived with it in return for keeping him for another season and having the best chance of a top 4 finish and a cup.

I’ve seen plenty of players leave us and I’m a grown adult so my reaction is to then scream abuse at them for the 90 minutes they play against us.

We’ve ultimately been levy’d. Awesome.
Can’t wait for ange to be backed with cheap fillers and the never ending cycle of non-ambition to continue

They are all gambles mate but there are levels. If I sign a young striker that's banged in 20 goals in serie A for 2 seasons running scoring against all the top teams it's not the same level of risk as a striker that has scored 20 goals 2 seasons running for Dover Athletic.
I don't disagree with that, and whilst you'd lead towards the former than the latter in that example it's a gamble. And therefore you can spend 60m getting it wrong

That's not to say we shouldn't try, obviously. But I guess more that there is no perfect answer, and looking at our previous or current 'success' in transfers it's often been found in the middle of those examples, which seems to be the kind of players we're linked with again

If what is real? Selling him?
I’d say it is 50:50 on here with some like me selling keep at all cost (and accept risk of next summer) and those who want him to go because they want money and no chance of him going to a rival for free.
Nah I meant haggling the price last minute and keeping the uncertainty running up to the first game of the season.

Well by the fans they do , but on a professional level none I guess.

The willingness of our fanbase to believe every single piece of negative reporting about us (and particularly Levy), never ceases to amaze me.

Nobody hate Spurs as much as Spurs fans.
You are confusing hating Daniel Levy with hating Spurs. Probably why some are always jumping to his defence if they see them as one and the same.

Levy, show a bit of class and stick to whatever you are agreed to.
He presents the club we all support, what he does indirectly reflects on us as fans. If he has really stopped Kane flying he really is a pathetic little man and embarrassment to the club….. that’s if it’s true or cause 😎
If the stuff that appears in the media is true, Levy has a fair bit of previous for trying to shift the goalposts after things have been (seemingly) agreed. As someone (I think it was Sam Goldwyn) said, a gentlemen's agreement isn't worth the paper it's written on.

As you say, he is an embarrassment to the club he supposedly 'represents'.

So it's confirmed then that Daniel Levy is a cheap knockoff of Darth Vader.

Spurs fans love and hate spurs in the same manner simply because of all the stupid shit we do that no one else ever does

Not in defence of DL - but what other owners get held to account?
Any good international Company has a Board of Directors, some of who will be 'independent' of the main shareholder, even if it's owned 100%. It's just good governance.

For me, I can understand that ENIC act as they please, in general. That said, a proper Board should absolutely be holding him to account, and providing a constructive challenge to decisions made. That is clearly not happening

According to the ITK, There was supposedly a deadline set last weekend by spurs. Deadlines are arbitrary, bar the transfer deadline.

Do we just accept the derisory offer?

Ange has stated thay he only wants players who want to be here.

I'm gutted how it has drawn out, and that he's leaving.

No one said levy isn't responsible, but based on the comments here, there isn't a decision he can make that is the right one for everyone.
I agree.
Brighton are in a similar boat as well. They know Caceido is off but it's taken till last night/today to get the right offer.
Bayern have understandably dragged this out knowing that we are forced to sell this summer.
