Worth pointing out though that we can be both furious at the club/board/Daniel for the situation we’re in, and think Harry and Johnny Drama are being disrespectful morons.
It’s certainly a clusterfuck. I am confident that I am not to blame.

Apologies if already mentioned but this page is moving fast with new posts but a friend of mine sent me this Re Kane - I saw him in bahamas Saturday. He arrived London Sunday earliest. With double vaccine you have to isolate until you do day 2 test so legally earliest he can go training is Wednesday. He just spent 2 weeks in Joe Lewis house so I would say relations are not too bad. Don’t let that ruin a good story.

Hasn't the club also handled it wrong if he wasn't due in today? The negativity could have been nipped in the bud, at least till something actually happens.
Maybe, but if they put a statement out saying anything it's going to be twisted to suit. I mean it's Harry's reputation being slammed, why hasn't he tweeted anything to that extent.

This, a thousand times this. If we'd showed ambition coupled with some sort of progress we would likely not be in this situation now. Instead, the club regressed, not only regressed, but, by the clubs own admission, was allowed to, thanks to the 'taking my eye off the ball' bollocks. Nobody is going to come out of this with a clean gusset.

It’s funny when you say it you don’t get shrouded in negative reps ?

True. Although who actually does. I mean I haven't heard anything as yet but I'm all aboard the put the boot in on Kane train.

Thing is whether he was supposed to be in today or not he's still handled this all wrong. He needs to give his brother the boot and get proper representation.
On the other hand, won't this actually strengthen the chance of somebody professional making a deal happen?

We really need to get someone like Vlahovic in now. Kane isn't starting the season anyway and we need another forward. Just keep the team moving forward with or without Kane. If we do sell Kane then get another forward like Ings. At the very worst we still have Son as backup and he's looked good as the lead forward in preseason. Let's not forget how well we did under Poch when Kane was injured and Son stepped up. As long as NES gets us well drilled as a team we can cope. If Kane stays then we slowly integrate him back into the team starting with the Conference League games. Make him earn his way back.

I don’t agree.

Kane could easily have signed a 5 year contract with a release clause kicking in after 2 years at a fair valuation.

If the club rejected this then he could have rejected the contract.
Why would any club do that?

All this shit we're going through right now could easily have been avoided by someone either from the club, or from Kane's entourage bothering to tell us WTF is really happening, but as usual, nobody inside the game actually gives a crap about us fans.
.

What if the club and players agent have agreed to listen to an offer from City and have mutually agreed to say nothing until a decision has been made?

Why deny anything today, only for a new MSM headline to be splashed across the back pages tomorrow?

Companies hire PR, Marketing and Brand Directors for a reason, and this isn't about damage limitation it's about being in control of the situation and the club is doing precisely the right thing, in not pandering to MSM questions and innuendo.

If we are selling Kane, can we at least insist he wears the same pink 'Pussay Patrol' outfit that Bale wore then he was skipping training to get his Madrid move?

Yes, but they would know if there was any actual chance of it happening and advise him to suit. I mean we look to be 70mil+ apart on valuation. A good agent would have a rough idea if the gap could be bridged or not, and they'd 100% not be blabbing pissed up at a wedding or allowing him to do the Neville interview without knowing the script.

His reputation is money and they would be making sure that remained intact.

I posted right at the start of all this Charlie Kane was amateur hour and everyone in the business knew it.

Because then their star player signs a contract and risk not losing him for free.

The club probably wanted Harry’s last contract more than the player did.
But they keep signing the contracts without it.

Let's say this was practice, what would have been the fair price? It wouldn't have been less than £200m with 3 years left to run. How does that change what's happening now?
