So, out of interest, how long until we get pap photos of Kane walking around in a baby pink outfit like Gaz did?

"Should be training, but he's wandering out in public nice and loud"

The reason Kane got a £250,000 a week 6 year contract with no release clause is to make sure that we get a big lump of money in case he leaves early. Talk of letting him go cheap is nonsense. Maybe not to some of you, but definitely to Levy.
Definitely no way that Levy will get his pants pulled down on this one. Kane is 28 and has 3 years left on his contract. If City want him then pay the money that he warrants. If Grealish is going for 100m, then they need to consider the number that a proven goal scorer is going to generate especially from a businessman like Levy.

Knowing Kane’s luck he’ll sign for City, they’ll be investigated and banned from CL for 4 years and relegated to the Championship.

And also getting Kane massively improves their chances of dominating and not letting Pool back in.

If I was Levy’s PR team, this is the angle I’d go with to justify selling him - we’d be heroes across the land AND piss off the Liverpool fan base even more than we already do

No way would that make any sense to me. Who in the squad would be able to guarantee us the 20+ goals per season Harry does year in year out? I hate to say it, but Kane is irreplaceable.

I just hate how this narrative becomes about us and Kane.

The narrative across all media should be: filthy oil slave clubs need to pay the filthy oil club premium. That goes for Grealish just as much as Kane.
I fucking hate City with a passion in the way they do business. Is almost they need not negotiate - the media will do that for them, assuming a price and they will be happy to go from there just at the final stage of splashing those filthy cash. Success or not is another matter, they can enjoy turning players' heads and destabilise the clubs.

Nice one. Of course we all love Sonny but he scores goals mostly because he's playing alongside Harry and they 'feed' off each other. They've been playing together for the past six years so of course they have a brilliant understanding...but with no Harry...? As much as I love Sonny, I doubt if he or anyone else can fit inside Harry's shoes, but God I hope I'm wrong and you're right.

It’s exactly what the media used to do for Man U in Fergies days

2013 with Bale was the last time we had this summer circus with “star“ player. Forgotten how tiresome this shit is.
I certainly haven't missed it.

Unfortunately, if Kane leaves the next couple of years is likely to be even more tiresome than the "summer circus".

Following the departures of Carrick, Keane & Berbatov in the space of two years (three summers), I had almost accepted that we'd never break into the top 4. We had a few years of respite (partly because we had no "star" players for a couple of years) and finally got into the Champions League. Then the two-year Modric saga and Bale's exit saw us back down in the Europa League placings.

Given the amount of time that those rebuilds took, I'm finding it very difficult to feel optimistic about the next couple of seasons if Kane leaves. The only reason I have for optimism is that we've historically come back stronger than we were with the star player...but that's likely to be 3-4 years away.

Was saying to someone that would be the best scenario for me. How wonderful would it be if they got a massive points reduction and a CL ban. Seems there’s ample evidence to do it, just no will from the league to really hit them

Son has scored 40 goals in the last 3 seasons in the league, which is decent for a winger, but by no means the goal machine we desparately need if Kane leaves.
We don’t necessarily need a goal machine, although that would be nice, we need more players to contribute with goals, Man City’s top scorer last season was Gundogan and they won the league. We need more players scoring 14/15 goals a seasons

So we sell Kane the goal-scorer, but keep Kane the goal-assister.

He's done alright when Kane's been injured. Can't really compare his goals and chances with Kane in the team, as that's a skewed paradigm, but make him the focus of our play and I reckon he'll do a fine job.

Flood me with optimistic ratings, but the best thing Kane could do in my opinion is to do a Gerrard when Chelsea came knocking... U-turn away from the temptation of City, pledge his allegiance to Spurs and sign a new contract with us. Ignore all the media bollocks, focus on getting fit and firing the team back up to being title/trophy challengers.

Probably be an unpopular view of mine but i admire Son and respect him far more than Kane, he is more proffesional and doesn't have as big an ego as Kane.

And is selfless in his play, Kane has always been a greedy boy to the annoyance of his teammates.
