It's obvious why Carragher's position is so diametrically opposed to Rio and Nevilles.........this has pretty much been the MO for the whole duration of Fergie's tenure at Utd! Unsettle the player and get them to agitate for a move, then finger fuck the media into thinking the selling club are holding back a players career and ambitions.

Apologies if already mentioned but this page is moving fast with new posts but a friend of mine sent me this Re Kane - I saw him in bahamas Saturday. He arrived London Sunday earliest. With double vaccine you have to isolate until you do day 2 test so legally earliest he can go training is Wednesday. He just spent 2 weeks in Joe Lewis house so I would say relations are not too bad. Don’t let that ruin a good story.
Thanks for sharing.

Did we get a new chairman? Because that's not how Levy works. When Bale was pulling similar stuff Levy still wouldn't yield on getting the fee he wants not what Real wants. This idea that Levy will rollover is hilarious, he's the most stubborn Chairman in football - you pay his fee or you get nothing.
So, which of the two scenarios do you think would be better for the club? (not that our opinions really matter)

Mate he's been proved sooooo repeatedly wrong over the last few years. His contacts are not as good as you or he think they are.

I can only talk about anyone I know, (and I don't know Graham well) as I find. But to suggest he knows "fuck all" is, as I said is simply not true.

I just hate how this narrative becomes about us and Kane.

The narrative across all media should be: filthy oil slave clubs need to pay the filthy oil club premium. That goes for Grealish just as much as Kane.

Good way for City to ensure he does not play against them in the first game of the season, would increase their chances of winning.

Let's use our "special" relationship with Real to get them to put a bid in for De Bruyne :ROFLMAO:

The reason Kane got a £250,000 a week 6 year contract with no release clause is to make sure that we get a big lump of money in case he leaves early. Talk of letting him go cheap is nonsense. Maybe not to some of you, but definitely to Levy.

If the refusal to train is true then he has burnt a lifelong connection with the club, no ambassador role, VIP treatment, generational love, maybe I could understand if it was for a historic institution like barca or Madrid but City have no soul, and a plastic support, he will be forgotten the moment he leaves

We could not sell Kane, bench him for a year and ruin his World Cup chances, and still find someone to pay us £100m next year.

That’s why we have all the cards here.
I see this always spouted out. Has this ever happened? It sounds great in theory but its not realistic whatsoever.

It would be funny if we started winning trophies as soon as Kane left though.
It's actually very possible and I've thought this for a while. We've needed big money to compete at the top so selling Kane for that big money might be our best chance. He's a massive a player for us but he's also 1 player. Liverpool showed what is possible with a big player sale when they sold Coutinho. With Paratici spending the money we could get a few top prospects for the money.

How to ruin your reputation and standing at your “boyhood club”
Was on his to being a hero now will be a a pariah.
There are ways of leaving a club and he’s not chosen the good one.
Show utter contempt to his team mates too.

Maybe, but if they put a statement out saying anything it's going to be twisted to suit. I mean it's Harry's reputation being slammed, why hasn't he tweeted anything to that extent.
I agree completely. He has deliberately kept off social media more recently. He could nip this in the bud very quickly but maintains radio silence. Really disappointing as it will taint him in a lot of the fans eyes.

Dont understand why forgien players like eriksen, verts, dembele said they could never play for another team in England, but a so called fan and academy product is selling himself to a domestic rival like a desperate crack whore

And also getting Kane massively improves their chances of dominating and not letting Pool back in.

What if the club and players agent have agreed to listen to an offer from City and have mutually agreed to say nothing until a decision has been made?

Why deny anything today, only for a new MSM headline to be splashed across the back pages tomorrow?

Companies hire PR, Marketing and Brand Directors for a reason, and this isn't about damage limitation it's about being in control of the situation and the club is doing precisely the right thing, in not pandering to MSM questions and innuendo.

Precisely what I was alluding to. The feelings of the fans are of absolutely zero importance in all this. They must all know what's going on outside their little bubble and yet, as far as anyone's concerned the most important thing is to protect Harry Kane from any probing media or fans.

I'll tell you one thing, if Harry does turn up for training tomorrow he better get himself ready for the absolute deluge of reporters who are going be shoving microphones in his face as soon as he arrives and again as soon as he leaves. I think the way he's handled this whole affair has been a shambles to be honest.

To be fair to Kane, as much as City are a nothing cess pit of a cheating club, they can offer PL winners, CL challengers, lots of money, world class squad and work under Pep Fraudiola. Basically everything a player can dream about and it's there on a plate. I can totally understand why the allure is so strong. Kane may feel it's now or never to move to a club who can offer the chance to win it all.

I would totally love it if he moved there and won fuck all for the next 4 years, but it's terribly unlikely.

Eriksen, Verts and Dembele were never offered what Kane is being tantalised with now. They all moved to lesser clubs apart from Eriksen, but even Inter then was at the time seen as a sideways step from where we were.

Gotta say I agree with this - £140m and Laporte would be fantastic.

No way would that make any sense to me. Who in the squad would be able to guarantee us the 20+ goals per season Harry does year in year out? I hate to say it, but Kane is irreplaceable. That's why we should hold out for as much as we can, hopefully £200 million.

Not sure that works as it would also apply to Rio with Utd

more likely Rio tweeted what he did because Utd fans equate everything to Pogba that’s just their nature given he gets so much criticism from the media.

Carra’s LFC are more likely to sympathise with us given they’ve lost top players including Sterling to City.
