It may have already been mentioned, but was the interview done with the clubs knowledge or was it done behind their back?

Seems weird they'd sign off on him calling out their ambition especially with the fans frustrations of the ESL hanging over their head.

His inexperience has shown in his selections and substitutions, but I think he’ll make a good coach one day.
His coaching is clear as we have been much better with the ball and I thought vs Villa we started really positively.

Unfortunately Villa made some tweaks and became more aggressive and this is where you need to have tactical nous to overcome it. Although starting Winks and Dier def didn't help as well as the weak mentality of the team.

Hopefully he will learn to be more proactive in these scenarios and im sure of he wasnt coaching his mates and more experienced players than him he'd be more ruthless.

So you don't think Dier, Winks, Sissoko, Dele, Sanchez, Doherty to name a few need replacing.

Potentially... however, each one of them has, at one point, been great in their respective roles. That would suggest that, purple patches aside, that it's plausible they could still be (as none of them are particular hampered by injury that defines their form).

The question is whether they can do it as a unit, in the way we want to play. If not, ta ta.

I do wonder how Kane really feels this week? Is he thinking I’ve played this wrong and been manipulated by Sky and the media or is this playing out how he wanted.
Exactly how he wanted. There’s no doubt now that he wants a move and it puts pressure on others to make their move

I agree with regards the mechanics of what he sought to achieve but I wonder how he feels about it emotionally . He’s been with the club since he was 11 so it’s not something he will have done lightly.

We are not a big club. There is a reason why everyone laughed at our inclusion in the ESL.
We certainly are a big club (in the top 10 in the world in earnings and also one of the best supported clubs in the UK).
However, we are also an underachieving club and therein lies our problem.

Problem with selling Kane. None of our signings have worked out the last 2 years after Daniel’s self imposed almost 2 year transfer ban. Our big signings havent worked at all. Recruitment on the cheaper signings have been abysmal. And Levy isnt changing the footballing structure. We lose Kane, we’ll do much worse than the magnificent 7 and this club will completely fall apart. We need competent football people in charge of the football. Levy & Hitchen are not that. Kane might want to go, but honestly Kane staying is the difference between challenging for Europe & being lower mid table dwellars. So he cant go. The fact we’re in this state is the problem. And it wont change until a DOF is hired but Daniel wont do that.

Totally agree I’d make him stay, the risk of us completely f****** up any money from Kane’s sale is so high. Better to try and bring some players in a good manager and prey to god things go right for once and Kane decides to stay. Selling him I just think we will balls it all up all over again ala the Bale money. We made a mess of the Bale spending, we have made a mess of big money signings since the those Bale players too. So I’d say the likely hood of more transfer f*** ups is so high.

So if the money is once again wasted in the transfer market, the safer option make him honour the contract he freely signed. Sure we lose him on a free, but will have had all his best years. We would probably f*** up any money we get for him anyway.

De Bruyne would get so annoyed playing with me. I don’t have the mobility to stay onside; or to make runs in behind. I make the same kind of face Tanguy made when he came on against wolves if I need to break into a jog for any reason.

He’d be soooo pissed off. It would be hilarious.

I’d get onto his through ball, take a shot, get closer to the corner flag than the goal and then just walk around shouting “this is ma house”

People confusing big and successful... we are a big club but not entirely successful - ambitious players want success and not just playing for a big club. Success is cyclical but when the fuck is it going to be our turn

We have actually spent quite a wedge in the last two summer windows. GLC and TN were significant investments for a start. While Mourinho was clearly backed last summer. We should have been splurging on a quality centre back, but at the time, most of us were delighted with both the 19/20 summer window and the 20/21 one.
Not true i was still screaming for us to get a CB more than anything else.
