Yeah, i was shouting at the TV to pass it because I could see, from my eye in the sky it was on, but Kane hadn't seen it, was faced the wrong way, moving too fast and then his just hits it! Prefect weight. Right into Son's path.

It was truly glorious.

Got Liverpool mates who think Klopp wouldn't play Kane ahead of Firmino... please.
Well they’re correct. He plays for us:)

My favourite Harry Kane comments from rival fans are the ones that go something like:

"He's shit and greedy. He only scores tap ins and penalties.

Spurs will be fucked when he goes to Madrid or Barcelona."

So he's shit, but Spurs won't be able to cope when that shit player moves to one of the biggest teams in the world.

I think they do not in all honesty believe he is not very good but what their views reflect is their dislike or hate even of spurs as a club .
I like the fact they hate him because they recognise him as a danger . The other side of the coin is their love or respect of players playing in foreign leagues this is because they are no danger to their aspirations for their team .

Opposition fans post this shit, but they’d all sell their mothers to have him playing for them.

I was working yesterday so had the pleasure of listening to Clinton Morrison on 5Live. He was busy telling all and sundry how H was past his best, had lost his pace etc etc.....................It involved a lot of me shouting at the radio

Then he scored twice in 3 minutes. He changed his tune after that

Fun fact from that broadcast

Harry Kane is the only player to have scored in the top flight on every day of the week and in every month of the year.

That trap of the ball in the build up of the first goal... such a good touch. Kills a looping, high clearance dead, flicks it away from the Leicester player then pings a perfect outside of the boot through ball to Son... not to mention busting a gut to get in the box.

Looks simple, but is just wonderful football.

the pass in the second half to sonny (he fell down) was sublime.

It was beautiful, shame Son tripped up, would have been a great goal.

When I was growing up, the England strike partnership was Sheringham and Shearer. Harry is like the two of them combined.

Reckon he will be a monster next season if he stays fit. Him and Son could score loads if they keep this up.

Kane and Firmino are different types of Strikers. Main part of Firmino's game is to bring others into it i.e. Salah and Mane, for those two to get the goals. Kane doesn't play like that, he's the main person to get the goals but that's not how Liverpool play a 'number 9'. Firmino is very good at playing how they want him to play and it benefits the rest of their attacking play.

Someone bit, excellent.

Kane could 100% play that role or an adapted version, he'd also create more space for Salah and Mane due to defenders not being able to allow him to be spare in the way they do with Firmino. His passing range and vision is also far superior.

Klopp has got Liverpool humming, playing to their strengths. I just seem to have more faith in mangers like Klopp and Jose to tweak their play for better players.

Kane is better than Firmino in every aspect of the game bar selflessness, but he's never been told to do that as Spurs.

Noticeably he's now better at squaring the ball for England after that Croatia incident. If Klopp wanted him to play that way, Kane is smart enough to do it.

All hypothetical of course, because he's not going there. I just find people that can't see him working there better than Firmino lacking in imagination.

If HK's such a lousy player, surely clubs like Real or Barca wouldn't be interested in him.

Does it matter what other fans think of our players? The argument would descend into a farce particularly if the argument is with a Liverpool fan.

The fact of the matter is most clubs (in the world) would love a Kane - he would be the first choice in perhaps 18 of the teams in the PL with maybe Liverpool opting for Firmino because of the trio up front moreso than because Firmino is better than Kane... he would certainly go to any club in the world bar perhaps Bayern and maybe RM as they love Benzema.

I wish we could clone Kane so we can have Kane passing to Kane, fucking what a duo that would be

Kane could play that role I agree, he has the creativity and intelligence to do it effectively, but would he want to? His burning desire to score goals means he would much rather be sorting them rather than helping others score them, thus taking them away from both their main outlets Salah and Mane.

I also don't think Kane would be able to keep up with the pressing level of Firmino, he was doing it early Poch days yes, but injuries have taken their toll and I think Firmino beats him in this aspect. However the number of lung bursting runs Kane has made since the restart wasn't something I was expecting to see especially on the back of a hamstring injury.

But I of course would have Kane over Firmino every day of the week for us, but I think in Klopp's system Firmino would be a better fit.

Listening to a podcast just now. They were discussing how we manage kane next season. Imperative that we either decide that parrot plays for the early uefa games or we sign another striker. We have to manage harry's minutes so he doesn't screw his ankles again.

It’s not really about screwing his ankles again. You can turn your ankle at any time, training, matches. It was the build up of fatigue and lots of injuries we probably didnt’t even know about that was making him play within himself. By resting him more, he can extend himself and play like yesterday. Jose can sell him on missing the Europa groups by telling him it will help him score more heavily in the PL and get closer to Shearer’s record.

Yeah, it's so clear we've either run him into the ground, or allowed him to run himself into the ground. This Kane is the type of guy you can see us winning things with if we can keep him motoring.

Shearers record is the reason I am Adam Ant that he won’t go abroad until it’s done or impossible. He wants that badly.
