I understood we never had cover due to cost of said cover sitting on the bench as Harry always wants to play.
He is probably his own worst enemy because with no rest he is more likely to pick up these sort of injuries.
Lets see how the new manager copes with his absence

We shouldn't rush him back. Son should be back but I'd actually play Moura up top. We've been here before with Kane and have covered him well.

With the way we are currently playing, if Moura is up top we’d see even less of the ball than we currently do.

He was knackered having run himself onto the ground vs Brighton, ans was then asked to play another 2 games with little recovery period - no wonder he didnt make it.
Dele was exactly the same - got through the games but with little impact but now needs rest.

Jose must have known this and should have rotated players. Loss of Son over this period hit us but fact that Skipp and Parrot have not been utilised is criminal
We overplay our stars until they get injured. It's ridiculous.

He should only comeback when he is fully fit. This season is fucked, if that means we don't finish top 4 then so be it.Don't want his career to be fucked too.

Four to six weeks ain't great. I hope some sort of stop-gap is considered for January. As our other attacking options aren't great right now.

As for the man himself... agree that he hasn't looked right for a while. Starting to wonder if he is considering agitating for a move in the summer. I honestly wouldn't blame him, as we are far away from winning anything any time soon.

If Real Madrid come-a-callin' with a bid in excess of 175M, then I wouldn't be surprised if it is seriously considered by all parties. If he wants to go, and we get the price we want, then at least there is a silver lining. If the coach is allowed to reinvest all of the Kane money, that would at least help us bring in three or four high-quality players.

Yeah. I know. Less than ideal. But reading the tea leaves, it would seem that this summer will be massively significant for Kane and Tottenham.

Kane is our best player but on current form, I think the team will be more dynamic without him.
Kane is a perfect example of why you need competition for places, even for the number 9 slot that’s obviously his.
Imagine if he was benched or substituted, how he’d have unbelievable fire and would fight to play every minute. It’s just too easy for him right now.
I wonder whether our points per game go up with his absence. Our expected points per game dropped severely when he returned from injury.

I hope Son feels he owes the team something and turns it on . For all that I agree Harry is our best player when he has been out previously
Son has covered his absence with honour .

I wonder if our form picks up again in his absence. Might be difficult to write it off as a coincidence this time if that is the case.
