Mr Markham, also father to Danny, 11 and Ryan, 26, had responded to the abuse by putting his phone number online and challenging trolls to speak to him directly.
He revealed one person did call him but all they did was hurl more abuse his way - and called for the trolls to be banned from every football ground in the country.

Fucking hell

What the fuck is wrong with some people.

Being vile enough to troll a girl who is just happy to be at spurs and having a dance. Fucking ****s...

And then for one to call the dad and just hurl more abuse at him, utter scum...

How shit has someone's life got to be to get a kick out of phoning someone else up to abuse their disabled 16 year old daughter?

It’s just ignorance!
My niece has Downes syndrome and being disabled myself people never cease to disappoint me.

Really happy about that, was absolutely disgusted to hear that she'd received abuse.

And unfortunately for her it’s all played out online for her to read when she’s grown up. Nothing about it is very nice but at least there are some decent people about who have been supportive to her and the family. I just hope the media haven’t intruded into their lives too much. It’s only going to be more stressful for her.

Some people’s lives must be pretty shit to give abuse to a child, disabled or otherwise.

Yeah definitely unfortunate. That's the problem with things online and why I mostly try and avoid social media, positive things that are posted with genuine and harmless intentions can become a subject of completely unwarranted hatred and vile abuse and you literally have no control over just how far that spreads, you have to just watch more and more people most negativity. Without diving off course and going too deep it's what drives so many young people into depression or what gives them suicidal thoughts.

Like you say though, luckily there are still decent people and it's great that Harry and the club have helped out with this situation.

Hopefully twitter delete the tweets and accounts of the arseholes.

It’s terrible, but it’s one reason why I wouldn’t post anything to do with my children on twitter for the world to see. There’s too many arseholes out there.

One of my best mates has a brother with Down’s syndrome. So I know a little what it’s like for everyone involved. The nice response from Harry, the club and decent people in the country will mean the world to them. The positive experience the family will go through is the only decent thing to come out of it.

Yeah 100% agree, social media and especially twitter can be a horrible place at times. As a parent it must be quite heartbreaking to see your child receive such abuse so like you can say, hopefully what Harry, the club and other people are doing to show their support can to a degree turn the experience around a bit for them.

If people still wonder why he's England captain it's because he does stuff like this.

Nice to see Kane appreciated more now.

Was crazy when there seemed to be a good tilt towards we were better with Son as main man and that Son should be player of the season.

Kane has much more winning mentality and far more consistent (although still pissed with him for injuring his ankle as completely unnecessary so he should take part of the blame for our current lack of player situation really as made himself unavailable through his rashness at critical stage of season).

But much as I’m a massive fan of Son, he lacks the mentality sometimes such as when he blows hot and cold and today was a whole new level of stupidness.

We are a better team with both of them in, playing 4-2-3-1 not a poxy diamond.

Can't help but think how H is feeling now. Missing CL games and the prospect of having to play EL next season, wasting the absolute peak of his career. Sadly I think next season will be his last at the club.
