If this is true I can’t see Kane coming back here in the future if levy is still here.

Hoeness on the reasons behind the delay in the Harry Kane deal:

"At midnight we had a verbal agreement, but at 2:50am, the deal was called into question again. They asked again for a larger amount. Jan (Dreesen) then said: 'Not a penny more!' It took 6 hours for Levy to accept that we were stubborn about it and for the plane that had been waiting for Harry at Stansted that morning to finally take off. Harry said that morning: 'If we don't have a solution by the evening, I'll play for Tottenham on Sunday. And then it's over, I won't sign a new contract at Tottenham and will go on a free transfer next year.'"

I personally wouldn't believe a fucking word Hoeness says. That doesn't mean I think Levy is above this sort of stuff but Hoeness is a lying, arrogant little arsehole.

All the animosity towards Kane is perfectly normal. After all, we've just been jilted. But it won't last long. In the future, we'll look back on him with affection and pride. We need to heal.

I interpret kane move to bayern in different way.He get the chance to win League title which he couldn't do here with us or ManU or Chelsea.City already have Halaand. But as well as we know Kane he is very ambitious for individual prizes. Bayern gives him opportunity to compete for Ballon'dor. Since messi and Cr7 out of picture anyone can win it now. If he leads bayern to CL glory there is high chances he can win it. I think if above scenario comes true its better than breaking shearer record and will make me happy. I think he served us long knowing we can't compete for big prizes. Lets not forget previously big players left us early for beter clubs and he spent most of his prime here. For me he is always legend of spurs and will be happy for his success.

100% agree. Not like he did a Campbell, Keane or a berbatov to us. Stayed for ages and always delivered. Good luck to him Ive watched him on Germany and hope he does well.

Just don't come back to Chelsea whatever you do.

Slightly nuanced in that I don’t really get the sense he loves the club. Maybe that’s as a result of how levy dealt with him or the fact that he has barely said Coys since the city debacle but he doesn’t portray love for the club that say Son and Moura do. Without question he was a great servant of the club and a club legend but that’s what it feels like

He wasn't the highest paid footballer in world and there was no chance for us to win anything and he stayed till he was 28. I think it was out of love for the club.

Or because he tied himself into a stupidly long contract with no way out and the club was unwilling to sell to appease various managers

I honestly couldn’t care less about him, badge on the front is always with more than the name on the back. He had chances to win stuff with us and him and the team failed. He was the best employee we have had in my time supporting my team. That’s pretty much it for me. He will win honours but I certainly won’t care and I doubt many people in the UK will. I’m not bitter at all, I just don’t give a fuck. :)

I get the impression that – he is a Spurs fan, comes from a Spurs family, 20 years with us with no chance of a trophy in site – he has always been in it for himself (i don't think i mean that as negatively as it sounds) but he is uber professional, this is a career of which he wants to grow and be successful and has a mission. He's single minded which is why he never kissed the badge etc. It's a job to him and he will give 110% regardless who he plays for. But when he retires and becomes a pundit, he'll be cheering on Spurs.

I think he’s just appeasing his new fanbase. I’m pretty sure they don’t want to see posts about tottenham, which makes sense. Let him bed in first with them, and then will see if he does posts about us in the future. He did say in his last video that it’s not goodbye as we know don’t know how things will pan out in the future. He obviously deeply loves the club, and is watching all our games.

I do think he’s happy to be away from levy’s grasp though.

Nah, he's Spurs. Look at his celebration after that goal at Stamford Bridge last season. But like us he's clearly had enough of Levy and the shit way we've been run.

Also... 30 years old, young family, gets the chance to live abroad and experience a different way of life. Most people would jump at that, it's exciting. Totally don't blame him.

I don't know why, but it has really bothered me we've had this nice start and a lot of positivity and Kane hasn't acknowledged it any sort of way. I am talking just a reply to one of our players on IG or the official page telling the lads great job. You see it quite often with former players that continue to follow and cheer for Spurs. Maybe Kane will do it at some point once the dust settles a bit with his move.

Lol. He gets a smoking hot new gf and you’re expecting him to text the ex. Move on. It’s over.

He’s been gone 5 minutes and we won two league games. Any kind of post would be totally bizarre at this point. I seriously doubt any other former player did anything so soon and based on so little “success”.

He's moved to a new country, playing for Bayern and had a new kid.
Doubt he's sitting hours on his phone posting comments on social media.

- he is very obviously a Spurs fan.
- he is super professional and one track minded.
- he is making sure he is seen as a perfect pro at Bayern, by that I mean not pining for your old club.
- once he retires he will speak of pride about us I’m sure.
- if we were more successful he would not have left.

I personally hope Kane scores 50 league goals and shows the people that still somehow doubt him, that he truly is a world class player. For me, the best pound for pound striker on the planet.

If there's anything that might brown me off, it's that after a decade of him being the best footballer in the league, and the best goalscorer it's ever seen... it won't be until he's scored 50 and won a trophy in a piss easy league for a famous club that everyone else will start admitting that he's a bona fide, greatest of all time level footballer.

This was always going to be the way regardless of him winning something here with us, or elsewhere. It wouldnt have mattered if we won the FA Cup or League Cup or even the Europa or Conference. And I still think it will take more than a league title in Germany for people to admit it.

Hes not controversial or in the limelight all the time, he played for little old Tottenham, he's a genuinely normal person, who has worked his arse off all his life, to get himself to where he is. That's why people still constantly under rate or play down his achievements. The bloke scored 30 goals in an average team last season, more or less by himself. If it wasn't for that freak and oil state team creating buckets of chances for him, Kane would have hands down been player of the season last year. But he won't be, even though hes far superior technically and effected games far more than Haaland did.

Guarantee people will still say its only the Bundesliga, and if they don't win the CL people will say its because Kane is cursed or whatever.
