This is what i am hoping for. We spread the Bale money over several players and only Eriksen, and arguably Lamela, were mainstays in the team Poch developed.
1 top centrehalf and an elite attacking option to contribute to the goal outputs we've lost and we can hopefully regroup and develop again.

Agree, agree, agree. If the money only stretches to one top class player, then so be it. And in that case and in my opinion it has to be a centre back. Patience

The thing that angers me the most about everything DL and the board is that we hear that the squad is bloated, and we have players we cannot shift (for a while now let’s be honest) yet we still may not shift from this mindset (proof will be in the pudding on who we spend this money on, if at all).

We are a massive club-we should have invested more in the academy set up and development, and then be in a position where we spend 100-150m a season on just one or 2 players. The flirting with one way of thinking to another every couple of seasons has damaged us immensely, whether that is the player recruitment or 1st team managers.
It is so frustrating. We have world class facilities but this board and owners just haven’t got a scooby how to build a successful football team. Now that HK is going-it all just feels that this is the final result of all that mis-management.
What an opportunity we had to build a team around the best striker in the world, and they screwed it up massively in my opinion-what a waste.
And I’ve had to shoot my horse.

He's gone and it's time to move on, but it has to be said fuck Levy and fuck this current Spurs board. I have Zero faith they'll spend this money well, if at all. On top of that we are only looking at mid range players and opportunistic signings being offered by clubs and agents to come in. but even then we need outs first.

I know it’s far from ideal having to “make do” for the first half of the season with what we have though.
