Bored!!
Can’t wait until a conclusion
Agree although go back 20+ years, teletext no internet forum days and we’d not know a single thing that was going on here.

We’d turn up on Sunday to the match and he’d either be there or we’d have seen on teletext or in the Sunday morning paper that he’d been sold to Bayern, none of this frankly insane, obsessive, anxiety inducing, non- stop minute by minute blow by blow updates of the whole soap opera wouldn’t exist.

That being said I’ve broken my F5 button, used up all my phone plan data and I’ve loved every minute of it with you guys.

There is another element to this. If Kane is going to stay he would quite rightly expect to be given the captains armband. Imo though you can’t have a captain who everyone knows is just seeing out his contract to get a big move at the end of the season. It’s hardly going to inspire the young players in the team knowing someone they are supposed to follow to bring success to the club is jumping ship at the end of season.

And to give it to someone else while Kane is in the team will just be weird as well.

If he doesn’t move this summer I think he ends up at City next summer which I wouldn’t begrudge, he deserves a club that wins things.
I would most certainly begrudge him if he signs for another Premier League team for nothing..

For me though there is no uncertainty. I'm certain he will give his all in every game he plays for us and that's all I care about.
I mean not to be a downer but he definitely did not do that for months following the City saga

I did say all along that Kane had the power in this situation. I’m not Levy’s biggest fan, but fair play he is trying to play as best he can the only card he has got.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Yup, it's a massive gamble but it's beginning to feel like both Kane and Levy have backed themselves into opposite corners and the clock is ticking.
It's a case of who blinks first now imo.
Kane is definitely in an advantageous position though. He can see out his contract and leave for nothing.

I’m confused as to why so many on here would prefer for Kane to stay and leave for free next year to a rival. Then to leave for 100m and to the German league. And we even have some deluding themselves that IF we do well he’ll sign a new deal. Sorry I’m with DL on this on, sign for Bayern or sign a new contract
I’d prefer him to stay simply because I don’t really like the sound of what we’re planning to do with the money. I’d rather enjoy 1 more year of having a world class striker than take 100m and throw it down the drain on unproven or in Johnson’s case proven average players

That’s probably just Kafefe Solediabicol reading Twitter and passing it on.

I literally saw him a couple of hours ago at Terminal 5 at Heathrow…. I guess I should have asked him but didn’t want to interrupt his House of Caviar meal

He better go to Real Madrid.

this season how many goals does he need? What % out of 30 shots a game does that work out too? Haha
When you look at the proper list of joint 1st division/Premier league all time scorers he is 144 goals behind a true legend Jimmy Greaves so he needs to get going somewhat.

No. He’s trying to force an ultimatum on Harry

Moving this here

I reckon he will stay, I don't think he really wants Bayern, not saying he wouldn't join them or like to play for them but I don't think Kane has his heart set on Bayern. Levy isn't ever going to allow himself to appeared pressured into doing anything and I think Bayern didn't anticipate the situation as it was and aren't going to be able to get thing's together for how they want it.

There's a small part of me that thinks Kane enjoys the comfort of Spurs really and set the deadline himself to force the issue without admitting he wants to stay and losing bargaining power.

Levy's called his bluff I think, I think Levy by accepting the deal, has put the pressure on Kane because I think he knows Kane wants to stay really but he wants the leverage of not signing a new deal. He's trying to remove that leverage by having Kane turn down Bayern.

I think the evidence I'd use to support my argument that Levy is trying to call Kane's bluff is; have you ever seen a deal reported with such consistency about how it's now down to the player to decide? Sure it's mentioned here and there but look how explicit it is being said.

Whatever you may think of Levy, he found a way to make this situation win/win for himself. He either got the deal or he's going to force Kane to show his hand. If Kane stays, the worst thing he can do for himself is be pressured into signing a new deal. If you want to stay, stay but keep your leverage.

I bloody know manipulation to my core :ROFLMAO: Surely I've proven my psychology credentials now  I'm even self aware, notice how I have to quote myself to prove I knew something as I'm desperate for attention, absolute masterclass of psychology over here.

If Kane does not do what the club demand of him, the club will turn people on Kane by taking the connection each fan has with the club and making it feel like Kane is personally being disloyal to the fans. When in all actuality, he is simply doing his job and taking decisions best for him. This allows for win/win for the board because either Kane looks like the bad guy who abandoned us or he does what the club wants. The only option for Kane to avoid this is to play out of his skin to prove himself to the fans but whilst we obviously hope he plays out of his own skin, shouldn't have to, we should be smarter and realise he's given so much to us already.

I'd prefer him to go at this point. He instigated the whole situation, we acquiesced, now he wants to fuck around. Dick head.
Appreciate what you've done Harold but now it's time to roll.
