Athletic reporting the 2nd bid, doesn't mention amount just that it's above the last one which was €70m

The club line throughout has been not for sale, and this hasn't changed from what I've heard. The plan is to speak to him on his return and throw the kitchen sink at home to keep him. We are prepared to be somewhat creative with that to get a suitable out come for both parties.
One creative solution that could be suitable for all parties is an extension with a reasonable buyout clause that activates next summer.

That would provide Harry with his escape route, should he fail to be impressed by Ange and the direction of the club in a year’s time, on the same timeline as his current contract (assuming the club’s position is that we won’t sell this summer).

It would also guarantee the club a transfer fee if he leaves and buy us one last chance to right the ship and convince him to see out his career with us.

That’s what I would be trying for if I were in Levy’s shoes.

Agreed as long as he allows the buyout to be to a foreign club or have a list of excluded clubs (arsenal Chelsea etc)

Won’t he want to see more then a big contract tho? As in won’t he want to see some serious investment in the squad to raise it to a level with one who can realistically compete. Obviously that probably won’t happen in one window but I’d be surprised if Kane was willing to go through another long rebuild. I’m sure he will be looking at the business our rivals are doing and hoping we show similar ambition. Obviously Maddison is a good start but we still have a lot of work to do. I guess time will tell but I’d be absolutely amazed if he signed a new deal regardless how good the offer is. If he goes on a free he would probably get more then whatever we offer him.

Ben Jacobs saying it’s £70 mil guaranteed that could raise to £80 mil. Don’t see us accepting that even if Kane says he won’t sign a new contract.

They still don’t understand then, do they. They need to throw the kitchen sink at the squad to stand a chance of convincing him to stay.

He wants to win

If that was £ I’d start to worry but I don’t see that being enough in €. I guess it depends on the add ons but I doubt it will be a significant amount.
Agree, add ons is risky for a player turning 30 and joining a new league. Since he hit any kind of form he’s been a one club player, let alone a one league player. I can’t see Levy taking any less than £100m, not including add-ons. Bayern are still way off where they need to be.

If he makes it clear he isn’t staying or signing an extension. I’d rather he goes abroad, but make it clear to Bayern it’s 100mil or stop calling us.

If there’s any chance of him staying for longer, throw literally everything at him.
