Is the **** any closer to the exit door yet? My position hasn't changed one bit. He can fuck off and go pop his cherry to a backstreet crack head prossie.

Fabrizio says on his podcast that Gabriel Jesus has been offered (as well as Laporte) as part of the deal. We’ve said no to players being included previoulsy though.

Must say, Jesus is a striker of very high quality. Don’t think we could do much better on the market. City’s valuation might be off though. I’d say £50m (probably worth a bit more in reality).

Keep an eye on Gabriel Jesus in the Kane deal as has been offered to #thfc. Laporte has also been offered. Tottenham have said NO to players previously. [@FabrizioRomano]

So good in fact that Pep would rather play numerous players out of position, than to play him as a CF.

That's harsh because he's clearly not a poor player to be where he is, but you see the point when it comes to how much City value him at.
it's a strange one isn't it. I loved him at 19,20,21 thinking he could really develop into that style of brazillian forward who is an absolute live-wire. and he's never really done it. if he wasn't at city he wouldn't be so near the national team IMO. At 28 some random top 10 club will pay over the odds for him and slowly he will sink into obscurity on huge wages.

And rejecting players like that (good reputation as they're at city) is exactly what we should be doing. Unless it's someone who improves us, what's the point. They are our competition, even if realistically we won't catch them this season. Give us the cash, or give us a player that improves a top 4 team. simple

I can't get my head around how so many ex-Spurs players who have been talking about Kane in the media (Murphy, O'Hara, Sherwood, Ferdinand), all seem to claim to understand what the "fans" think. I think Les was quoted as saying something like 99% of Spurs fans would wish HK well if he moved on! God knows what makes them think they understand "the fans" (having gone to matches as fans when they were kids is not a good point of reference - their careers have meant they are no wholly out of touch) let alone that the fan base would ever be as united in one belief.

As noted on here before, Ramon Vega seems to be the only ex-player who has come close to understanding what i think is probably a majority feeling - although this site also shows that there are fans who are diametrically opposed.
I can't speak for other fans, but personally I totally understood that Kane would look to move this summer and was primed to wish him well. Honestly, I was slightly embarrassed that as a club who had recently featured not just in the Champions League, but in the actual final, we would now be fielding arguably the best striker in the world in the Europa Conference League.

But the manner in which Harry has gone about this, from deeming it appropriate to hold that Neville interview before the season was over, to failing to come back in time, to now claiming no wrong... well, he couldn't have done more to alienate the fans and piss on the sympathy that most would have had for his situation.

Let's see how the situation develops now, but I am encouraged by recent rumours because at least the parties are now talking and agreeing some kind of strategy moving forward.

There is a lot of talk about Harry deserving trophies and whether he can expect to win any at Spurs. Well, that is also up to him though. I doubt he could have done more to improve himself as a player and for that continued professionalism, desire and dedication he deserves immense credit. But as a leader of men, which he obviously aspires to, he has much to learn.

The likes of Michael Jordan, or his good friend Tom Brady not only improved themselves, but the players around them. Harry has had chances to rise to the occasion and to drag others with him, but he has not managed to do this yet. That's on him, not the club.

He has certainly fu**** up over these last few weeks, but there is one thing I will say in his defence which seems to have been largely forgotten. It is not really a defence and doesn't excuse anything, but Harry lives and breathes England and there is no doubt that losing the Euros final, as the captain, would have been one of the hardest things he has ever experienced. These are once in a lifetime opportunities and something he would have dreamt of since he was a boy, so he was always going to need some time to recover and recharge after this blow.

Basically that translates to

We shouldn't have to pay what another club values their own player at.

A total indictment of how little self awareness they have.

Imagine trying to buy a monopoly in football and not having other clubs help you

I don't have much in the way of detail on this but am told that talks went well. What that means for his future, I don't know.

One thing for certain is that Charlie is way out of his depth, and is causing a lot of the problems. That does not excuse Harry's extended break though, he's far from blameless in all of this. It is thought though that had he of had strong representation most of this would have been avoided.

I have no doubt that a conversation has been had somewhere in Lilywhite House where they've explored whether they can spin things to make Charlie the bad guy that tricked poor little Harry into a situation he never wanted to be in

Laporte and Bernardo Silva are the only players of City I would pick the phone up for. If they really offer Jesus we should force them to take Sissoko in the deal.

I don't think he's tricked Harry into anything. I just think he's a liability who speaks before thinking, which is a good thing because speaking after thinking could be far worse. I think he just see's things in the press regarding how agents act and thinks it's that simple. He's not taking into account how much they are doing regarding keeping relationships open with the clubs behind the scenes at the same time.

I don't think he's a bad guy and I think he is doing what he thinks is best for Harry etc. He's just naive, and doesn't possess the necessary tools to do the job he's doing.

Jesus has a bad case of the great movement and awful finishing. He's the opposite type of player we should be looking to get to replace the most lethal finisher in the premier league. Vlahovic may not link up play as well, but he absolutely will finish his chances.

The difference with Laporte is that he's clearly top class, but he is too similar to Stones and they prefer him for his better passing and ariel ability so he doesn't start as much. But for us he would be absolutely ideal on the left hand side of a back 4 sweeping behind Romero and dicating play with his passing. He would be a great signing and still only just turned 27

Might join Bluemoon to troll for a bit, help them become a bit more aware of football outside of their own oil infested brains.

Tottenham having the gall to refuse Laporte haha.

Tottenham having the gall to ask for straight cash as we have done since this started.

And there's no way on earth Spurs said no to either of those players

Well actually yes there is because we don't want them instead of cash.

Laporte is a definite yes. Strong, quick, composed, left sided centre back. Very much in the Vertonghen art of defending.

Jesus, not really an ideal player for us. Good player, but thats it. Ultimately if City offered £130/140m + Laporte I think we would most likely take it & then go & sign Martinez & Vlahovic.

Laporte having Premier League experience is a major boost for me too

Would be the absolute perfect partner for Romero
