See this on Sky Sports this morning and i thought this will be good as its headline was 'Gazza - "Spurs can win Champions League this season".'

However, with most journalism these days the title rarely lends itself to the actual content of what you are actually looking it. Its no different here, he actually focuses on United more than us in this short clip and says he has a bias towards them which i found interesting.

Another point i'd like to add on the video:
I know Gazza's demise has been done to death on here but i still find it upsetting to see what has become of the great man. He looks a wreck.
I really doubt, anymore, if he'll ever pull himself out of this situation.

Here's the clip:

I thought that was the best Gazza has looked in a long long time. He looks like he's put a bit of weight on and he sounded in control of his senses, hopefully he has turned a corner as some of his friends have been saying lately.

As for his bias, i have a similar feeling towards Utd. Other than pathetic jealousy there is no reason to not appreciate what a great club they have been for the past 20 years. It seems everyone loves to hate Utd and I think that is stupid. I dislike Chelsea because of the attitude of some of their players (Terry in particular) and don't think they do the game any good, I don't like Liverpool too much as they have an attitude of being better than they are and living on their past. I don't like City because i think the way they have gone about transforming themselves from mediocre to CL contenders is just ugly. But Utd have built a team time and time again and normally played attacking, fluid football that should be admired. Arsenal produced a great side "the invincibles" but when those players aged or moved on the team lost momentum. Fergie replaces and rebuilds every year to ensure they are always playing for the title. Utd should be respected and supported for their achievements and that is why Gazza wants them to win......except when they play Newcastle!!

Not saying he looked good just better than the yellow hair skin and bones Gazza of a year ago

I read your thought's on United and agreed, then I thought hang on :

Vidic elbowing and pulling shirts at every chance, Nani diving feigning injury like a girl, Rooney elbowing and doing as he pleases, Scholes having half a dozen red card tackles every game, the whole team and management undermining and harassing the officials on and off the pitch, the way they conduct themselves in the transfer market undermining clubs and having no regard to diplomacy in conducting themselves, yeh a lot to admire, I dont think so.

He is looking a hell of a lot better then a year ago. You can actually understand what he is saying. Even if he never touched a drop of alcohol he would still not look all that great. I mean he is not exactly the greatest looking fella in the world. But he seems a lot better by a mile.

Thanks for the share mumbles.

Gazza seems to be a bit better than when I last saw him in the news. Is speaking a lot better but still looks very old for a man of his age IMO but the damage is done I suppose in that regard.

Hope he is on the road to recovery (this time). Good luck Gazza

He looks 20 years older than he is but that is the most sensible and coherent he has been for years. In that frame of mind he is a knowledgeable football person who could easily have a career in the media, but nobody would trust him to stay that way.

I'm nearly 37 and this morning some of my pupils were trying to guess my age and they agreed that I was between 27 and 30, if you had to guess gazzas age you would think he was in his late 50s yet there are only a few years between him and me.

It really makes you think!

Very sad indeed.

Unfortunately, we've heard it all before from Gascoigne.

If he was serious about rehabilitation he wouldn't be inviting Sky Sport News to do these kind of interviews.

If anything, the guy is addicted to being 'famous' than any other drug...

One of my favourite Spurs moments. Up there with Ricky Villa and Lucas’ two goals.
