Want to move there do ya Eriksen?

Horrible detestible club on par with Chelsea.

I think Eriksen would get chewed up and spat out there unless he was utterly brilliant right from the off. He's a nice guy and he'd be surrounded by arseholes.

That’s the only way Eriksen gets to go to Real Madrid as part of a deal for Bale to come back ( on loan?)

Very unlikely IMO. I'd expect Bale to make RM pay up every penny of his contract after Zidane's latest spout and I think it will be a standoff. If anything, I'd expect some sort of Bale/Pogba trade.

As awesome as it maybe to get him back, ITK seems pretty definitive that Bale is not happening, but hypothetically it Would be interesting to poll Lo Celso vs Bale if we could only sign one

I believe Trix said it was very very unlikely but it wasn't due to lack of interest. Given what he has gone through, a return home would make emotional sense as Bayern, MU, psg et al are not places where he is beloved. But that is a small consideration compared to the money. It is possible to infer from Trix's post, perhaps incorrectly, that there is a genuine interest by the use of the word "remotely".

The only chance we bring him back is if he wants to return and RM blinks first in this big game of chicken. And since all parties are playing their hands close to the chest, I would guess there is minimal feedback that RM will blink that hard. He would be great here but still suspect psg gets him if they sell neymar. That leaves spurs as a buyer of last choice. (But could you imagine the acres of space he would create for Harry, Son et al? )

So we shouldn't do it to ourselves.

Good post but would we get a world class player, or a injured has been ?

Doubt it. Some of the biggest crowd favourites haven't been the biggest names. Steve Mcmanaman gets mobbed, in a good way, every time he goes to town.

Gago, guti, solaro, solgado are other examples that spring to mind (from when I used to follow them). The Chelsea comparison is terrible. For starters, Real Madrid have history and heritage.

Can’t be China. Then it’s surely jus about money.
Has to be Bayern right?

Bayern for footballing reasons or purely money and remaining in Europe - PSG?

Thing is, the word transfer was used by Zidane, it means whichever club is in talks, is buying him.

Would be a luxury signing. Still have more pressing areas to address in the team/squad before we start throwing money at the 'optional extras'.

That's not to say I wouldn't love to see him back, I just think that with a supposed 3/4 of a defence supposedly available, that maybe funds would be best served elsewhere.

If we can do it, grand, but with Clarke, hopefully Lo Celso, and if Eriksen stays, I'm calling it a luxury signing. Onions.

Would love to bring him back but I just cannot see the situation changing enough for our club to make it happen.

ITK suggests this is not close for us, but Zidane’s comments if they are anything more than posturing, suggests it’s close, so pretty much rules us out.
Longer it goes on though, I have a sneaky feeling it’ll be a late window approach from Levy, once our other business is done. Bit of a Hail Mary offer of a year or two on loan rather than a perm, such as James Rodriguez did with Bayern. That would allow Madrid to get shot of him, but they’d still have to cover the bulk of his wages to make it feasible for us.
