Telling sentence in that piece made more runs in the time that he was on then the man he replaced Eriksen. says quite a lot about both players doesn't it? I think I know which one will have more impact here over the next few seasons and it isn't the Dane.
This kid could be our best signing since the young Bale.
He replaced Lamela, not Eriksen, as the article says.
"Premier League tracking data shows he made more high-intensity sprints (34) than six of Tottenham's starters that day, including the man he replaced, Erik Lamela."

I think he will be a world class footballer personally.

He has everything there, he just needs to believe in himself which I think he does.

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

Reminds me of a young (notts forest) Jenas but seems more destined to reach that top tier that jenas didnt reach

I don't think we should get ahead of ourselves. At one time jenas was a decent premier league midfielder, got in the England fold for a period. If alli matches jenas' level, he'll of done very well for himself. What I've seen of both of them at similar stages alli looks far more raw than jenas did. Comparisons to Gerard and toure shouldn't even come into people's thoughts atm.

Only 1 question for this kid - what is the best position for him? No.6, no.8 or no.10? It seems that we are now using him as an alternative no.10 in recent matches (as well as England U-21) , I am not sure whether it is the best position for him

No no you are getting me wrong. I liked Jenas! Just he never reached his top end peak is all.

I see him as a box 2 box midfielder, a position we don't currently use in our set up :(

I agree, jenas was frustrating and didn't or wouldn't dominate games like people thought he could earlier on in his career. But he was a decent premier league player all the same. All I'm saying is from what I've seen jenas looked to have more potential than alli at similar stages. Although I do agree and had said it in a previous post they do look similar in the way they move. For me alli at the moment is doing everything at 100 mph. He needs to add some composure to his game to start with. I just think people are taking a giant leap with alli already talking about toure and Gerard and are setting him up to fail. All I would say is that if Alli 'only' reaches jeans' level hell of done well for himself.

Central midfield. He can do literally everything in that position, it's like having an extra man on the field. Not many players in the world like that. If we pushed him forward just because he scores goals it would be a waste of that ability

We play a 2 man pivot that requires both players to be able to pass, attack and defend. Of course we use a box to box midfielder, in fact he's actually perfect for our set-up

I like what I see so far. I hope his natural instincts aren't suppressed.

Pochettino watched him before mitchell joined us. Whether he was sneakily recomended or soton was interested while poch was there i don't know.
He did he went to the MK Dons v Yanited cup game. Everyone just assumed it was to watch Welbeck.

He's a talented player, no doubt.
But i am most impressed by references of his character given by his mentors. In Kane and Alli it seems we've got very driven , determined individuals. I love the spirit of these young Spurs.

Alli gives us incredible goal threat. Think difference is going to be his finishing if compared to Mason. Mason too like him makes perfectly timed runs but he freezes, while Alli seems to have the ability & coolness to slot home the goal.
I am to use Alli as sub till the gets comfortable.we should protect him & let him develop
