I had to come back on while trying to take a break from here just for this thread because what the hell is going on? Police went on to the pitch for ours and Villa's players?

I think it's because as they flew from England they didn't quarantine so there's been a big hullabaloo about them playing.

I saw stuff on twitter just now but it seems a load of confusion.

Surely the Argentine FA had to know if there was a UK to Brazil quarantine. How did that get fucked up? Hell how did Spurs not know that?

Brazil did the responsible thing & replaced their players from England. Argentina did not & forced them to report with the threat of not playing for them again. That's the crux of it. So now the Argentine players lied on their forms(probably after being told to do so) & its led to this. Predictable.

Argentina should be banned from the world cup for this. They've broken genuine government laws here.

Brazil have been ravaged by the COVID pandemic as bad as it gets, and Argentina do this? Shameful.

Yeah but why do this now and not before kick off?

Spurs and Villa also at fault. The PL agreed to not release players for this, but they still did.

Even Wolves held back Jimenez despite threats from Mexico.

The clubs should stand together on these kind of things. This was always going to be a mess when the brazilians stayed back in England while Argentina had their players there.

There were reports they were supposed to be kicked out of the country & that Brazil had agents to stop them from entering the stadium. So clearly, the game should not have been kicked off with them starting. Clearly those reports were correct & this was always ending one way.

What is the club supposed to do when the players are being threatened to not play the WC? The club should have called the bluff, yes but what if they werent bluffing? The players likely would have thrown a fit. It's Argentina at fault. Not Spurs Not Villa. Argentina.
