On one hand I feel for Nuno. After the shambles in the summer he was clearly down the list of preferred managers and never got the support of the fans or frankly the senior management who I feel were going ahead with transfers of players into the club, but tellingly also who was allowed to leave (and who didn't leave). Ultimately it's left Nuno with a fractured squad with a number of players who we know are toxic to the environment and should have been sold years ago.

On the other hand - he has played drab boring defensive football, showed limited tactical nous and his substitutions are baffling. Additionally, his reason for leaving Wolves was allegedly down to mental health / burnout etc. If that's the case then there's no way he should have accepted the job and should have gone for the time out he needed. Ultimately it's cost him his job, his health, pissed off the fans, created a dour atmosphere and left many fans completely disconnected from the club. The Kane debacle would have been tough for a lot of managers and we don't know how Nuno dealt with it, but it feels like a manager with more balls would have dropped him by now to the benefit of the rest of the team.

It was never going to work and i'm fucked off with Levy & Co for sanctioning it in the first place. Instead of a shit kneejerk appointment they should have kept on with a caretaker until the right person was available. Hopefully that person will be announced this week - but I have zero faith in Levy to get it right.

Stop feeling for him. He gets to pocket millions of pounds and fuck off to portugal.

I’d normally be excited that an obvious flop of a manager was being sacked. But I have about 5% hope they will get this right. Unless it’s Conte or Potter everything else will feel like another journey into the unknown. Levy 100% should be sacked as well for this debacle.

And to be honest unless things change with how we do things, recruitment, cup mindset, and of course when to release the purse strings then it’s just like Groundhog Day with a new scapegoat in place.

If Nuno goes, and we get and we get an attacking coach, who demands commitment from his players, I'll rekindle my love affair with Spurs. I don't even give a shit about trophies anymore. Good committed football is enough at this juncture in my life.

Conte would be fucking sick. He was who I wanted in the summer. He isn't exactly 100% Spurs DNA (lol) but he's a top3 manager in the world.

But after that shitshow i'm not failing for it now.

No spurs fan really gives a shit about trophies anyway. Can't do.

I really can’t see Conte as an option. Levy could have pulled the trigger and then didn’t, decided to go with Paratici’s man in Nuno. It’s been shit, and if the rumours about him being shocked/livid/pissed off with the atmosphere on Saturday are true then he’s not jumping into bed with Paratici’s next choice before he’s even sacked the previous one.

I can’t think of two less compatible people in football than Levy and Conte.

Added to the slightly more important fact that we haven’t even announced Nuno is leaving yet.

The fact no reliable English sources have even mentioned it makes me really doubt this. Think this is Conte’s side trying to fish out suitors…

Was at 19.30. Mourinho was announced the following morning at 6.30.

Unlikely we’ll hear anything tonight

It was probably only done that quickly because of levy worrying about looking bad on the Amazon documentary.

Surely he can’t take training today can he? So something will have to be announced before that’s due to start.
