There’s a great Twitter account @footyscran which displays the best and worst food available at different football grounds.

The food at the new stadium seems to be some of the most varied.

Any ideas where I can find this?

Somebody in the thread said Naan and noodle in the south stand (because of the paper under the food)

This isn’t so much about the food itself and more about a stadium concessionaire but I do wonder what would happen to the stadium microbrewery now that Beavertown is sold completely to Heineken.

On one hand, it entrenches Heineken’s involvement with the team even further since Heineken is Spurs’ current beer sponsor. On the other hand however, it makes you wonder if the microbrewery would stay since Heineken would definitely seek to consolidate production and they’ve done the brewery close-and-reshuffle jig before to other smaller breweries according to the Telegraph article on this (not linking though since it’s paywalled, sadly).

Why would they change it? Heineken had a stake in beavertown before, they have just bought them for the brand…can’t see anything changing it’s too profitable

I understand Heineken are our 'official beer partners' (for now), so in the short term perhaps nothing will change. However the very essence of the brewery's partnership with Spurs was that they were a local, independent, up and coming brewery based in Tottenham and employing 160 locals. **

The success, rise and expansion of Beavertown coincided with the construction of our new stadium, and our partnership with the brewery was cemented by the installation of the brewhouse within the stadium complex. The link with Beavertown therefore became almost umbilical.

Having said all that, I certainly don't blame Logan Plant for cashing in his remaining stake in Beavertown when a possible two year recession is looming large and which is likely to hit the brewing industry particularly hard. The sale will no doubt have made the former owner a millionaire several times over., however I do fear for the 160 employees and mourn the (albeit inevitable) loss of another independency brewery.

** The brewery moved to Brimsdown, Enfield a few years ago.

On the Beavertown side noticed on Wed that they didn’t serve Gamma Ray anymore

Was gutted as this was always my drink of choice in the stadium. Opted for ‘One of our own’ in the end but tasted like piss :banghead:

Real shame. My fave yank tipple, Goose Island, is now brewed in the uk and is not the same. It has joined the chemical beer brewing industry. They have to add the chemicals to get the taste on a large scale. Costs a fortune to buy as export. Still I will enjoy searching for a new fave sherbet.
