Couldnt disagree more.I am not sure we would have won yesterday with a second string team given how well qarabag were organized. This will only give our team more confidence against Chelsea.

And yes there might be a little fatigue but that fatigue gets even more worse if you keep on thinking I am tired. Its all about the mentality and I am glad Mopo is taking care of that.

I also like the fact that Mopo is taking europa league as seriously as premier league. We are in it to win it.It strengthens the winning mentality. If the manager doesnt take the competition seriously players naturally dont and hence piss poor performances.

Why do so many fans think that we can somehow compete seriously in the Europa League and finish in the top four. You people really are clueless! You understand nothing Jon Snow. I'm so bored of going on about it, so I'll leave it at that.

Usually id tend to agree with you here (perhaps not so vigorously) but Poch has more than earned the right for us to trust his judgment. Lets hope that come Monday you'll be feasting on the humble pie that Poch has been feeding me and so many others in recent weeks.

It's got nothing to do with trust, its called fatigue. Plain and simple, our players will struggle to compete to a high standard against Chelski three days after flying nearly 3000 miles and back! FFS can't you people see that. It's almost retarded to not grasp this simple fact. Ah whatever...

I think we need to wait and see before jumping to that conclusion, your concerns may well be justified come Sunday afternoon however you may well be wrong.

Just saw the game, gotta say this squad has remarkable mental strength compared to previous manager's. Qarabak gave us a real game but we don't seem to crumble under pressure anymore. We seem to have this "get on with it" style. We don't roll around on the floor, we don't surround the ref, we get on with our game no matter what. Love it.

There is every chance we could still beat Chelsea after playing a strong team last night.

However, if we want to compete in the EL, FA Cup and push for top four then either Poch is going to have to start trusting his squad players or Levy is going to have to do something about it in January. It's clear for all to see that Poch doesn't trust our reserve keeper, CB's or any other strikers bar Kane.

Hey guy, maybe you should give Poch a call as you clearly know stuff that he doesn't ?....or maybe you should just wind your neck in and trust the guy knows what he's doing?
Just a thought.

I don't see any downside to playing the ball more quickly from the back.
which is all I said but I realise that I´m on my own here.
Apart from Clive and Danny
It gives them less time to get organised
stops us getting lazy and sloppy.
If teams are determined o park the bus
waiting five minutes before we advance
rarely tempts teams out until they go a goal down.
But as we won everything is spot on.
We play better at a higher intensity.
Wouldn't have started Kane but got that wrong too as he scored.

OK: Love Spurs;Love Poch; love Harry Kane;
love everyone that neg. repped me;love Spurs Community.
Love Love Love...all you need is.

Can't agree with all you say but I was thinking why don't they move the ball forward more quickly at times as well.
There were certainly times when the defenders couldn't see a forward pass and played it back and forth across the back.
So maybe it's also lack of movement from the the front four to open up the space as much as bring slow to play it forward.

It was painfully slow at times
and as talkshowhost86 says it was clearly deliberate policy.
The lack of movement forward explains why both Verts and Alders
brought the ball out more frequently.
A tactic which I support as they are both good on the ball.
But it in turn crowds out the midfield.
But we won so the end justifies the means I suppose.

There was one run where he pushed it past the defender and then got blocked off, but other than that he recovered a couple of balls not many players would get to. Looks easily our quickest player, barring maybe Walker.
I don't know, I've not been that impressed by his rapidity. Not judging him as a player yet, but just thought he'd standout more pace wise.

What other strikers?

What other strikers?

Well quite, which as I said earlier makes of mockery of the idea Poch was happy with signing only Son and N'jie and it being a case of getting Berahinho or no one.

Carroll did really well in his 20 mins cameo. 100% passing accuracy and tackles. Pressed really well as well. Seems he gradually understands Poch's philosophy. Mason, on the other hand, not quite as slick as Carroll as he had few mispasses and lost possessions causing few panics at our defence. Not surprised Carroll will start ahead of Mason if Lamela can't make it.

I guess "chopped liver" isn't a universal expression then. My bad. I blame my parents of course. Bastids! Ah well, the point was just about made.

Oh... I actually like chopped liver though... although clearly, we are not it. We are another thing I like. Something I like more!

(@Misfit now if you'd said "we aren't bupkes after all" I'd have understood perfectly...)

The Urban Dictionary doesn't indicate why chopped liver means of little value.

Possibly because it's usually a side dish not a main course.
Secondly culinarily speaking it is regarded as rather inferior and coarse
being chopped rather than pureed.

Chicken livers being part of the giblets are often thrown away or given to the dog.
Been around in America for half a century pr more.

They can gave a good kip or read a book. I never understand why people always bang on about long plane journeys when all you're doing is sitting on your arse doing nothing. Its not as though they have to fly the bloody aircraft or load the luggage into the hold.

yep, has no effect at all
