If anyone at the club deserved a pay rise it’s Levy. I don’t see how anyone can begrudge him getting it. How the club has transformed under his leadership is astonishing. Puts him in line with our players.
Couple of thoughts on this - could’ve picked a few posts but went with the most recent.
I don’t dispute how the club has transformed under his leadership. His gross pay has doubled in one year though, when the vast majority of the increase in revenue and profit has come from a TV deal negotiated by the Premier League, not him.
I think I also read that he’s now the highest paid CEO in the Premier League.
For context, I know of a well known, admittedly non football related company, that has broadly the same revenue and profit and the CEO of that company gets paid half of what Levy gets paid.
