Platini arrested https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...sident-michel-platini-arrested-awarding-2022/
Finally imo

Good that it's happened, but it won't lead to any positive outcome like the tournament being taken from Qatar. This is just FIFA allowing Platini to be thrown under the bus (not that he doesn't deserve punishment, I have to stress) so that the organisation can claim they had no hand in it.Platini arrested https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...sident-michel-platini-arrested-awarding-2022/

Especially with Infantino still in charge - he's the oil slavers' little pet.Too much of a scandal if Qatar were to be deducted from hosting the WC. I see the irony of using scandal and Qatar in the same sentence..
No! Really? That is very surprising. Not that it's England specifically, just that there's no way that FIFA will buckle. The ramifications would be huge. The bookies must realise that.England hosting the 2022 World Cup has been slashed by the bookies
Not sure, or maybe many people have put money on it now and since the Leicester winning season they may have learnt their lessonNo! Really? That is very surprising. Unless it's just to try and hook a few punters...
I said on another thread that he and Blatter make Bonnie and Clyde look positively respectable. Total abuse of power.Platini arrested https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...sident-michel-platini-arrested-awarding-2022/

Doubtless. If it were to happen, I'd be one of the first to celebrate them losing it. I just see FIFA putting up one hell of a fight to prevent it happening is all.Not sure, or maybe many people have put money on it now and since the Leicester winning season they may have learnt their lesson
Qatar would have spent pocket money on the stadiums etc. - it would be mental if they lost out. But equally if it should not have happened in the first place then they should have what is coming to them
There was something definitely majorly dodgy going on at the time of bidding/voting
Bet our new stadium would be first choice for matches.....great advertising opportunities surely....bring it on.England hosting the 2022 World Cup has been slashed by the bookies
it would be incredible. We have some great stadiums in the UK and arguably it gives two seasons for some other clubs to invest in stand increases etc.Bet our new stadium would be first choice for matches.....great advertising opportunities surely....bring it on.
Not much of an election this time, Infantino elected by acclamation as he was unopposed. New term goes until 2027.
And he starts with a bang. I would say unbelievable but this is par for him.
This absolutely 100% should happen, but the apathy that's greeted the fix to ensure Saudi Arabia get the 2034 World Cup has been terrible. No outcry, no protests, nothing. After Qatar there's no appetite for the fight any more. FIFA and Infantino have won. This is where FIFA need to be very careful, especially after the Netflix documentary.
All it will take is a dozen countries to break away and form their own World tournament and the great FIFA gravy train that has fed unworthy mouths who haven’t had the same values as the original founders since the mid 80’s will collapse.
I’d love to see it.
