FBI trolling Blatter. Nice.

Hope this is just the start. I'm sure a few of these corrupt pigs will start squealing at the first sign of pressure.

Smart to get those around him first. He had a habit in the past of discarding those who oppose him - Warner, Bin Hamman - so, this time, hopefully, with enough people already caught, he has nowhere to hide.

US really earning its spurs as world's policeman today after utter failure by any other authority to get FIFA's rampant corruption in check.

Charging #FIFA officials on minor tournaments, not #Qatar2022 is like arresting Al Capone on tax charges. #getyourman

from NBC

Seems most of those arrested have north American/Caribbean ties?

So? Doesnt matter. FIFA is finally starting to face some criminal proceedings they always though they were immune too because America was the only country willing to do something

Well, the alleged crimes happened on US soil and involved US banks so they have a right to pursue it.

Though this is necessarily true in order for the US to have 'jurisdiction' what about all the other countries' soil and other countries' banks where this corruption happened that haven't pursued it to this level. The FBI and by extension the US deserves some praise for pursuing it.

I'm not saying they don't.

I'd be surprised if other countries don't act eventually.I think this is only the tip of the iceberg and quite a few more members of FIFA will be having sleepless nights.

I think it says it all when the fa president of the cayman islands is voted as president of north and central america, because we all know the powerhouses of football from that region; USA, Mexico, cayman islands :cautious: and costa rica

Well, all 3 oppostition candidates have released their manifestos:

Prince Ali: http://worldsgame.com/wp-content/up...-Ali-Al-Hussein-FIFA-Presidency-Manifesto.pdf

Van Praag: https://thesoccerswell.files.wordpr...ag-footballforeveryone-programmeinenglish.pdf

Figo: couldnt find a link to view it in browser. Here's the link to DL it: http://forfootball.org/#manifesto

Of course, Blatter probably wont release one.

So what say you guys? Who gets your hypothetical vote?

I havent read them all through yet, but read alittle of Prince Ali's. Liked what he had to say, to be honest. Need to read it more later though.

IMO, 2 need to back out and endorse the one who stays in for their to be a snowballs chance to oust Blatter, though.
So why was it in the end only between Blatter and Prince?
