Very sad, sincere condolences to family and loved ones.

Worth reflecting though that as tragic as it is, 81 is a great innings by anyone's standard, and presumably he died somewhere that he felt a great connection with. His family should hopefully take some solace with that.

A family friend who was a season ticket holder for decades in the east stand died a few months ago from a sudden heart attack, though not at the game.

Seeing how devastated the family have been by this I wish every sympathy to the family of this spurs fan.

RIP.

Tottenham have confirmed that an 81-year-old fan died after suffering a heart attack at Tuesday night's match with West Brom.

The supporter suffered a cardiac arrest at the Premier League match and was transferred to hospital after being treated by medics inside White Hart Lane.
"The club can confirm that an 81-year-old male fan suffered a heart attack at last night's Premier League match against West Bromwich Albion," said a spokesman on Wednesday.

"We have since received confirmation that he later died in hospital.
"Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time."

Jermain Defoe scored the only goal in the 1-0 defeat of West Brom and led the tributes on Twitter, writing: "RIP to [the] Spurs fan that sadly passed away at Tuesday night's game. Condolences to all his family!"

Rafael van der Vaart echoed the striker's sentiments, while midfielder Jake Livermore added: "Terrible news of a fan last night who lost his life at White Hart Lane. R.I.P. Our thoughts go out [to] your family."

RIP to deceased.

Though, I'm sure every Spurs fan can appreciate how such an event can easily sum up being a Spurs fan.

Everybody at the Club would like to send our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family of Roy Madden, who died in hospital after suffering a heart attack during our fixture against West Bromwich Albion at White Hart Lane last night.
Mr Madden, 81, attended the game with his son Paul and his two grandchildren and our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
