Luck utd have a good replacement for de gea. They should consider selling him.
De Gea hasn't been a top reliable keeper since he blundered his way through the World Cup in 2018. He has the odd wonder game (one against us at Wembley annoyingly) but he makes far too many errors these days.

I'd fast track Henderson in pre season if I were Solskjær.

The only thing worse than Lampard winning a major trophy in his second year of management at Chelsea, is Arteta picking up an FA Cup seven months into his first ever job with Arsenal...?
You make it sound like a choice of crap in a roll, or shit in a sandwich, which is about the long and the short of it. I won't be watching it that's for sure ☹️

You only need to look at today for proof of game mgmt. 3 up there was no need to break our bollox going for more. Sat in and conserved energy and had a few counter attacks in the second half after 3 games in 7 days it made perfect sense.
Yeah, totally agree.

Before people think I'm picking at Poch, I'll balance that out by saying that Poch gave us a 'never say die' attitude and we won many games late because of this attitude.

But to win trophies we need to be smarter.

It's quite simply because they treat it the way it should be tret. Once they get into the quarters they focus on it and the recent memories of being their and winning help.

I imagine in the club they are constantly reminded about how important it is whether it's from people in and around the club or the images plastered all over the club. They just get it.

Whereas over the last decade or more our main purpose has been to become part of the elite and ensure we are competing in CL year after year, therefore the subliminal message is "FA Cup is not priority".

Then of course we had Poch saying it's not our main goal.

Hopefully Jose treats it seriously.
I dont agree with that at all.
There was nothing subliminal about it lol.
Poch repeatedly came out publicly and said it's not a priority, which was a fkin disgrace frankly, so the players know its not/wasnt important. O

Just one of the many stupid things Poch said that got my back up, like if we win CL I'm off. Dumbass.
Its why we have nothing to show for 3 seasons of arguably having one of the best teams in the country. Bastard lol.

Edit. Probably should have read your entire post before replying. Just noticed you said about Poch. Sorry lol.

In the Poch era, yeah you are absolutely correct and I did see his point but he shouldn't have been vocal about it. Prepare the team the way You see fit but don't broadcast that the competition isn't important.

But the greater point I was making was more regarding the club. AVB, Harry, Jol - all of them have had to prioritise the league position due to what the club want from them. The subliminal messages then come from the coach who has to pretend to believe the FA Cup is important but isn't planning that way. I don't believe we've had a single coach who came out and said the club needs to be winning FA cups, the players hear that as "It's not important, let's not give 110%"

As long as Wolves drop points and we beat Palace to finish 6th, I do not care about the FA Cup final. If needed, we will have to be cheering for Chelsea to get into Europa if Wolves finish above us. Which would be awful.

Whatever way it goes, it's hard to take watching these teams battle it out for another trophy whilst we sit on the sidelines (again)

So we've now had to want Chelsea to win their last two Cup finals.

I don't like this. I don't like this at all.
