Klopps complaining about his players needing rest, surely he can play a weakened side in a league match, they are 16 points clear with one game in hand

He might be targeting an unbeaten PL season? ?‍♂️

If he plays a weaker team in the PL then they get fined, FA cup they can almost get away with doing it in.

Just read that Klopp has said that they are taking their winter break and he won’t be there, let alone the first team!
Everything is always about him him him and his team. Is not like he's facing a PL team ffs. He could have win the first round to prevent the replay instead of thinking his kids could win. So self-centred.

Think it was for the league. But agree with what Klopp is doing, FA have said no games to be played on these set dates, so they have said to players to go away for a bit! It's either a winter break and no games, or it's a round of fixtures scheduled in.

Yes... and No

The Fourth Round replays were always scheduled for these dates. The instruction to PL clubs was not to schedule any friendlies etc.
It's Klopp's fault they let a 2 goal lead slip and now have a replay, but as with everything Liverpool - always the victim...

would rather win the fa cup than go unbeaten in the league

Not sure Klopp will agree with you. the way I see it, They have the league wrapped up already. They can afford a few hiccups in the PL to still win the title.

That’s Liverpool all over. Manager, fans, players, ex-players. Everything football related has to be about them. Already declaring themselves a truly great side...took Fergie 6 titles before that sort of chat came about!

Fuck them and fuck Klopp. That **** doesn’t determine how people in this country see the FA Cup. The fact he’s not going to be in the dugout for the replay is utterly pathetic and he deserves a ban for such behaviour.
The mans a total prick with little class

I thought he was a bit of a prick before he came to England, nothing he has done has changed my mind.

Am I missing something with the Liverpool game?

They’re at home to the side 16th in League One and yet the odds for them are evens.

I get that they might play a weakened side but they seem crazy odds.

If I was a Liverpool fan I'd be annoyed at passing up an excellent opportunity to win the double.

But I'm just fucking glad I'm not a Liverpool fan, and so are my friends and family.

Is he not going for the double? Peak United / Chelsea went for everything every season

Klopp has said the first team are on winter break as they were told when the break was announced that they had to respect it, so he allowed players to book flights away etc. before the first Shrewsbury tie had been played.

Though the kids did beat Everton 1-0 so they might have a good chance anyway.

The most disrespectful part of it is him saying he won't be in the dugout IMO.
