We dick around with targets, don't get first choice CB's for multiple managers and throw our toys out of the pram when the form dips

I am super confused with the media narrative. Are they cozying up to Levy and pointing the finger at Conte? If so, the coach is a shrewd chap. And suffers no fools. Can’t see why he’d stay if Levy is pulling silly buggers like this.

They're top of the league and were trying to sign one of Europe's bright talents, even if they had to spend 80m.

Yeh okay cool, pretty sure we had confirmation we would have paid around that for bastoni but he wanted to stay in Italy. Are we as ambitious as Arsenal now?

Honestly, can we go through all of this again. Poch warned us 4 years ago of a painful rebuild, yet the core of our team is from the peak Poch era. We have been stuck in the bog waiting not only for trophies but to be entertained and feel an identity that has dissipated long ago. We were promised our DNA would return. We’ve ended up with poison from ENIC which has flowed from the top and is now filtering through the stands. The toxicity will only get worse. It saddens me how they treat us ST holders, members and those who travel from afar. I’ve never put x3 PL home tickets on exchange until yesterday. It’s not fun, feel like a part of ENICs cash cow without any return for the product. Their time is well and truly over. Spurs fans unite we need to get them to sell. Unite peacefully most importantly, don’t be divided as that’s what they rely on.

I will be honest and say I am not a fan of Conte’s style of play, in my eyes it was another Levy appointment out of desperation when it was toxic under Nuno. The last three appointments have been no surprise at all and have on a whole maintained this stale feeling on the pitch, in the stands and on social media. For my own mental health, time (5 hours there and 5 hours back on the train) and money, especially with the way we lost to Woolwich I am going to stay home for the next 3 home PL games. I feel genuinely sad with what is happening, the disconnect and the toxicity at the ground.

Because if not him, then who?
Conte may not be perfect but he's possibly the most proven manager we've had.
If levy is going to back out from giving Conte what he needs (maybe even what he was promised) he's never going to give it to anyone.

As I've said a few times now, this isn't about Conte anymore - apart from why even bother hiring him if you aren't going to give him what he wants - it's about Levy failing every manager we've had over the past two decades.

I want to be entertained when I go to football I want to see a brave side on the ball who dominate sides not who bore me - Conte's football throwback to the dowdy days of Graham and Ramos and the other ex Chelsea clown who we had co - like it or not the football side of the club has moved on under Levy it may have the shiny pots to go with it but we have competed at the top table for a good while now and getting into the Champions League equates to a trophy really these days - football is always about that little bit more and all supporters want to spend on the next great player and a lot of those signings are not worth the bother but are almost heralded as the man who is going unlock the riches

Do we need investment in the team course we do - does that mean uncondittonally backing Conte I hope not he has to go the football has to be better to watch that't the end product and with him we are miles away from competing - should Levy go I think he should the last 3 appointments haven't been thought through they have been to appease the fans and win a pot none of them have been in keeping with the football club that's not planning that's reactionary and for that reason he should walk -

But if Levy does walk who knows what comes next all anybody mentions is that they want somebody who is going to come in and who is going to back the manager - what does that mean spend spend spend seems to be the only measure that people are interested in - I know one thing I don't fancy watching another season of Conte's footballl with no Champions League and quite possibly no European football at all

Season ticket renewals come up March might be interesting

I'd point you in the direction of Newcastle United. They have a load of players who are playing out of their skins because they know for a fact that they will be replaced by very expensive additions. They're not looking around and bemoaning the fact they don't have quality all over the pitch. They're fighting tooth and nail to stay at the club. If our sub prime players are expecting reinforcements, they should also be expecting to be binned themselves. Eddie Howe doesn't seem to be having any problems motivating them but our lot take to the pitch like they're half asleep straight from the pre game briefing from Conte.

I'd point you in the direction of Chelsea. They don't have a load of players who are playing out of their skins even when they know for a fact that they will be replaced by very expensive additions. They aren't fighting tooth and nail to stay at the club. Graham Potter does seem to have problems with motivating them.

So maybe, in reality it says more about the quality of work Howe has done for Newcastle than the owners?

how do I sound like wenger, I'm a spurs fan. Arsenal and Chelsea are in the mix for big make players. Chelsea got their man, arsenal look like they'll get Declan rice. That's the point. Where are spurs in these conversations keeping for top talent?

deflecting from the point by saying I sound like wenger but what point are you trying to prove? that one summer with one 60m signing is taking a club forward that wishes to compete. We aren't trying to win anything.

managers asked for skriniar and bastoni and they're given Rodon and bastoni. Real backing there.

For the thousandth time it's not about conte. Jose got the same treatment. So at what point do we get the targets these managers want. We don't know what happens because we never bloody do it. I'm not even wedded to conte at this point but I'm sick of people not seeing what the real issues are here

I get that, I really do and I can't say that I've been enamoured by Conte this season but for me, this trend of firing and hiring has to stop somewhere and I've reached that point now.
I don't particularly think that Conte is the ideal fit for us but at one stage Levy did, if only to save his own skin.
It doesn't matter who's in the dugout anymore, while Levy is in the big chair we'll always come up short.

To be honest, Conte has become the figurehead of our frustration, more than being the saviour of the club.
All the while Levy is flitting from plan to plan, manager to manager, we're never going to get anywhere.

The stadium will help us compete? Spurs DNA?
It's all bollocks while he won't spend the money or set his mind to one idea and follow it through.

He uses Fred against the better teams to do a specific job.

Garnacho is one of Europes biggest talents.

Using what he has? He's hardly been given scraps.

He's been given a world cup winning CB he knows well, a £100m winger he knows well, arguably the best CDM in Europe of the last 5 plus years for big money and we all know what Eriksen can do. Its hardly miracles hes pulled up, he's been backed with moves he wanted and others would have turned nose up at (Eriksen, Antony, now Weghorst)

Fred was a donkey.

Garnacho still had to be played. Still had to be backed by the manager.

Conte was given Bentacur, Romero, Kulu, Bissouma, Richarlison, and Perisic, on top of already having PEH, Son and Kane. Conte has been given players. That's a pretty good two windows.
