Sherwood's article to me read as crediting 'arry and the club as a whole monitoring Dier rather then just himself?

But them I am just too nice and naive for my own good sometimes so maybe I'm just being too darn nice lol. :)

Don't know if this has been mentioned already but the 442 preview for today says Dier is the first defender in Prem history to score in his first 2 games.

Think that would get the Roy Castle thumbs up

I thought Dier player well today and was very unlucky with the penalty. He didn't even close his hand and grab Allen, he just touched him and he threw himself to the ground. That's a dive and a yellow card for me but that doesn't mean Dier can't still learn a big lesson from it.

Still, it was nice to see his attitude after that incident and the way he battled. Seeing him play against a side that battered us at times shows us more than we knew before. I think he's got a big future ahead of him, can't believe he's still so young.
