my mate supports Milan and has seen a fair bit of this guy, says he isn't good enough for us.

mmm....May be your mate forgot the 2 games he scored hatricks against them. One of those games, he scored 4 goals, got Allegri the sack.

From the little I know of him, he is good player with some disciplinary issues on field. He is too committed on tackles. He plays the game on the edge.

Had 2 brilliant seasons in 2013/14 & 2014/15 scoring & assisting - 31 goals, 17 assists in those 2 serie-A seasons. Thats brilliant for a 20 year old playing for a lower mid table team as a winger.

Since then there has been a dip - but wouldnt say all his fault. He was injured couple of times.

He is seen as inconsistent, but most important thing is, he always comes alive in big games, scoring & creating big moment goals.

If we get him, thats not bad IMO, when we compare to likes of Njie or Nkoudou or Sissoko. He certainly competes. May be Poch could get the best of him. With better players around him, he could get back to his best & even improve.

He could be compared to Coutinho who was generally underwhelming in the Serie A but has certainly improved a lot due to good coaching and giving him confidence in a proper setup. Sometimes it's not about it being the finished product but rather seeing if the proper tools are there.

Certainly has the talent & competitive edge. Its about right environment & a good manager to work with - we got both.

And Poch has stated several times that one of the things he values most is passion and whenever I've seen Berardi play he's certainly had fire in him. He's got a cracker of a left foot, is versatile, has pace, acceleration and good technique. To me it seems like he just has to merge it together to be the complete package, easier said than done though.

I would be excited if we got him. I think he has great ability and could become a star for us.

The lack of a single clue as to who else it might be, we're stumbling around in the dark.

Maybe a clue was the substitution of the word "Italy" (in JJetset on Italy - SC ITK) for the flag icon in the original tweet. Then one of the list of names in the guessing thread jumps out quite clearly : ITALY IS NICE THIS TIME OF YEAR

That would be a bit underwhelming

his 13/14 and 15 season was the one - since then nothing, absolute dog shit. it would be like crediting the merit of Jay Rodriguez of 4-5 years ago as a signing today because he used to have potential
