No way is Levy letting him go on the cheap. Be better off to loan him and wait for the pandemic to abate - once stadiums and club shops are full again transfer fees will creap up.

Yeah I'd let him go replacement or not. Loan ideally, but if anyone is going to pay above current market value it will be the likes of PSG.
At least their new manager knows what the club values him at, so it won’t come as huge shock when Levy tells them what he wants.

Even if it's not set in stone that Dele's supposed departure would lead to reinforcements directly, it certainly would change the odds for a possible new signing and could be the deal maker at the end of the day if there is a deal to be had by the end of the window.

What carnage? If Dele goes and smashes 50 goals alongside M'bappe and Neymar,it has no bearing on how Spurs do this season.I hope when he does leave he excel's,I don't have animosity towards him. I want what's best for Spurs if Dele is replaced by someone that better fit's us and help's us achieve our aims that's a win/win in my book. What I do know the current circumstances are not viable towards a happy ending. It is possible to wish Dele all the best ,whilst understanding a parting of the ways might be the only way for Spurs and Dele to achieve future success.

If folk want to belly box over Dele tearing Ligue 1 up great, fantastic. Won't change the fact at this juncture in Dele's career he's not killing it for Spurs. He really could have played a major role if only he'd stepped up as other's have and continue to do so.
My point being him staying or going , is a good or bad player on here divides opinion in the spurs fan base . Which of course many things do hence the reason for debate .

The media talk as if we are duty bound to let Dele go. PSG are one of the richest clubs in the world. If they want him they need to pay a proper price for him, whether it is a loan or permanent. Why should we let them have him on the cheap? Personally I think it would be a great shame for us to lose such a talented England qualified player. It seems crazy to keep the very average Winks and let Dele go.

probably because no one except valencia who does not want to spend a penny on him is interested

Comparisons with Winks are way off the mark. Alli has performed at a below average level for over two years. Winks is a different player and is an England regular where as Alli has not played for England since 2019. Tottenham need Winks at his current levels than Alli at his.

Various reports, some say we want an option buy in the loan, some saying PSG do. Not sure which to believe. Other reports say we want to replace him with Lindgard from Manure, I rather a motivated Dele to him any day but will we ever see the motivated Dele again?

I don't think Dele is out of the spurs team because of a lack of effort (or he'd never make the bench). Neither do I think Jose has it in for him. I feel its more a case of Dele not being able to play in Jose's system. His mind drifts off where he should be positionally and leaves too many gaps. I'm not sure he's capable of 90 mins focused on-field discipline as he's only ever embraced the creative element of the game. It would probably come with maturity but neither the club or the player can wait. Dele is more of a star in his own head than in reality so he won't tolerate not playing. He needs an all out attacking team that includes him as a luxury player. PSG is perfect, so I hope this is true. One of the top young players on the planet is how MP described him once. And I've no doubt he would be great for them. I hope he is. Only good memories of Dele, but no trophies is a significant aspect of that memory unfortunately.

Agreed. Besides, no point comparing him to another player that Jose may not actually fancy either.

It's my view that the Lingard links are nonsense.

I was defending Alli last season and was hoping he could get back to level. But it is now my belief that he needs a fresh start.

But Alli was playing games and scoring when Jose first took over.

If Alli put in a shift off the ball, was a team player with the ball and continued to score goals he'd fit in fine and play.

When he was at MK he spent some time in central midfield, i wonder if a spell there again would do him some good as it would bring more discipline to his game, rather than just the creative side of his game. Might be worth a go alonside PEH who would help instill that discipline and would allow Ndombele to push further forward.
