Reckon Ings Winks swap would suit everyone, also Soton

If they want to get relegated. This is not a dig at Winks, BTW. But he's not exactly going to replace Ings' goals. Southampton will need a decent fee to recruit his replacement.

He's not and has never been a CF

Besides everything else, this is absolutely not true. It may not be his primary position, but he's played plenty of matches as a CF for Hamburger and leverkusen, as well as for spurs and has done so comfortably.

The reality is that Vinicius barely played for us last season; he started 3 games - that's it.

Looks like Ings might be our best option to replace Kane in the interim, if the reports of Man City deal are accurate. With our attacking talent, he would certainly score a ton of goals for us.
What reports of a deal with Man City, have I missed something.

Am I in the minority in thinking I really don’t want Ings?
He’s late 20’s, injury prone, a very unremarkable career, shines in a not so big club.
I really think our money could be spent so much better and there’s plenty of better options out there.

if you were talking about paying full boat, then I’d agree, but with just 1 year left and a price mooted in the 20-25 area, I think he’s a no brainer.

he’s 1 year older than Kane, counts as HG, has gobs of EPL experience and hasnt actually been all that injury prone since his knee stuff 4 years ago.

if Kane goes we need a plug and play guy and a big potential guy. He’s by far the best realistic plug and play guy on the radar.

I agree as a replacement, but I think it's a waste if Kane hogs all the games and he doesn't get a look in. Strikers need confidence and minutes to be prolific usually, and it's a waste to sign Ings and expect him to be on form with 10 mins here and there.

Hard to say. The only big club he played for was Liverpool where injuries scuppered his time there.

He’s done very well elsewhere and gets a fair few goals.

A few players ready to step in and play straightaway would be very useful.

Just you mate you must be hungover from the weekend.

Kidding...its a pink out for charity i believe.

Anyways back to Mr Ings I'd be ok with him but he's the wrong side of 20 and injury prone so we'd need another reliable decent striker in as well as we couldn't rely on Ings all season. Him and Vlahovic would be a good duo to have but tbh I'm sure there are younger better options than Ings who we could get who'd be better for our re-build tbh.

If Kane goes he should be one out of two new strikers coming in.
English, knows the league, knows how to score in the PL. Him and a good prospect like Vlahovic would be a promising combination I guess.

I’ve said it before but for me he’s far too injury prone. If he could stay clear then yes all day long but I fear, as he gets older, it will only get worse.
