I was on there about 5 years ago.
I was banned twice.
Once for posting "Are you sure?"
After my second ban for qouting someone's post I gave up.
What I liked about COYS was that all the threads even non-Spurs were all in one place. I don't know if that has been changed.

I wasn't banned but was on both COYS and here for a long time.
I find COYS to be a great site with lots of really good posters. Yes, they have their rules but then again that's their choice.
I decided at one stage to just focus on SC though due to the this being for me the best of the two - the humour on here has me in stitches and I find that there is a more diverse bunch of posters which makes it interesting,
"The better of the two". Now would I have been banned from COYS for doing this?!

I'm by no means a regular poster here, but I came over from Jol's Secret Garden. Anyone else come from there or know what happened to the forum?

When I tried to join, was asked to provide a reference and some other nonsense. Figured it wasn't worth it. So didn't bother.

Like SC it is a great Spurs site. Different to SC but no least enjoyable. Very loyal hard core membership just like SC.

After an over the top screening process I was allowed to join. It felt like they think they were doing me a favour though so I didn't post much therefore they banned me.

I joined COYS especially to have something to read going into a back op and the recovery 6 years ago. But then was quickly banned for not contributing. When I got a bit of movement back I wrote to their admin explaining my difficulty. Somehow, I sent the same email over 100 times, he wasn't cool at all.

Not a refugee, but I did have an account on there for about a year. Had some good conversations with a few people.

Got a warning for racism after making some reference to the Mafia that wasn't even remotely racist, though to be fair the Mod seemed to accept my explanation.

Eventually got banned for a comment I made about COYS on this site, so be warned - they have spies everywhere :peeking:

It's a bizarre outfit. The rules are astonishing. They're like a piece if government legislation and they have a rule in there that if you disagree with their interpretation of it then that in itself is a reason for discipline. So the place is an over-regulated, sanitised environment that removes any pleasure from the posting experience. I didn't stay there long.

I got threatened for a couple of supposedly vicious attacks, such as in a Sigurdsson thread responding to someone who said "Sig is simply not a PL footballer" with "How exactly is Sig not a PL level footballer?" and then following up with just a few of the obvious reasons why he is.

That was about enough for me.

Another one here that got banned. Multiple times. The last straw was when I refused to apologize for my supposed transgression and said that the mods were biased against certain members. Too many rules and too many people full of piss and self importance so I am glad they booted me, and so so glad I still had an active account here.

Just remembered another reason I got a 2 week ban was because Prof had put a post up saying anyone who was "positively fanatical" would be banned. I asked if anyone would be banned for being negatively fanatical. I never found out, but did discover you could be banned for asking

Banned. After trying to sign up again and they realised I was already banned they sent me an email saying they were alerting the 'internet authorities' and that I may have broken some laws depending on where I was based. Incredible
