I’m not sure it matters. Their owners will do what they want and Poch will have to suck it up. He didn’t know Palmer was coming in and looked pretty pissed off about it. I can’t see him taking Gallagher going too well either!

I can feel the seethe from here, haha Poch mate what have you done.

Was great at Palace but nothing he’s done in a Chelsea shirt has ever “wowed” me or really caught my attention. Maybe I haven’t been watching close enough, as lots seem to rate him 🤷🏻‍♂️

Pierre leaving gives us the chance to test this today
We shouldn't test it at this stage, we should know by now if a deal is realistic and if all parties are on a same page that a deal can be done...

That said, a Gallagher / Hojbjerg exchange would be very good business to me.

Don't Chelsea keep playing him deeper, whereas he played much more attacking for Palace?

Doing YT clips . Johnson left me uninspired and baulking at the price.

This bloke looks superb in contrast. Yes, can see why he's expensive, but looks worth it imo.

It's easy to forget how good he was for Palace that season. Had we gone in for him off the back of that we would've been praising his signing as exactly the sort of dynamism our midfield needed.

I just worry about how such an underwhelming year back at Chelsea has affected his development. And I still have serious doubts that they'd sell to us.

I think you need to look at Bissouma. You wouldn’t have thought he’d play the way he has after last season.

I think Ange would do well with him.

He was the only one who would put in a shift last season when all around threw the towel in.

Palace loan clearly showcased what he's about in a 8 role and would be the perfect replacement/alternative to Sarr throughout the season and either move Skipp as Bissouma's understudy (until Bentancur is back) or eventually sell next January/summer.

So he’s not very versatile then… Not a bad thing, just means Ange needs to play him in his preferred position.

Yeah he works hard, but that should be the bare minimum for any player. He’s just never really caught my eye talent wise, just my opinion from my ‘eye test’!

Mate I expect it was just a turn of phrase from WLB.

May this Cole Palmer fella they just signed be his replacement, or are they just doing Chelsea shit and buying everyone?

He's not pissed he's just covering it as the deal isn't official and signed yet so the usual 'don't want to speak about other clubs players line' nothing to see there really.

There's a touch of the Frank Lampard who you'd look at and think 'works hard but hardly a highlights reel player' about him in that his runs are very good and certainly at Palace he showed he could finish so if we can enhance this role at Spurs he could be another source of goals alleviating some pressure on Richarlison.

Bissouma didn't wow in a Spurs shirt last season either, good players can look ordinary in bad systems.

I like the energy and attitude of CG - and has room to improve vs. 28 year old PEH. In the mould of our new young team. I hope this happens.

That was 100% on Conte stifling any creativity and playing 3 v 2 almost always. He's back to Brighton Bissouma now. I'm sure he'll have a specific plan if we get Gallagher.

PEH out for the reported 25-30 mil. £ and Gallagher in for 45-50 mil. £ seems like shit business to me. Even if we need HG-players.
Why? Hojberg doesn’t suit our system, we need players that do. Gallagher as an attacking 8 is way ahead of skipp and hojberg imo.
If Johnson and Gallagher mean we can go big on 2 quality forwards next season (foreign) I’m all
For it
