Only way I can see this happening is if we either terminate some contracts (Lloris, NDombele) and/or accept some potentially unfavourable loan deals (Hoijberg) - or even accept some players won’t be registered. Surely we’ll have to get the wages / squad down today before this can progress

Don't think we need to shift anyone to register a home grown player?

So Gallagher is this windows last minute name. Yea we have been interested in him earlier in summer but now trying for him last few days of window. There's always one story like this every window and we never sign them.
Like most can't see this happening

But it’s not levy’s reality

Which is why we consistently struggle to buy and sell players unless there is a loophole we’re exploiting like a contract running down. Levy wants to extract every last penny when selling, but wants to save every last penny when buying. Can’t have it both ways. Yes, we have to be mindful of expenditure, but equally if the footballing side ultimately suffers because we don’t give the manager the necessary tools because Levy doesn’t agree with the markets pricing, then it’s us who misses out as we scuttle back to mid table obscurity. Still expected to pay the highest ticket prices around, but without the appropriate level of product to view.

Half expecting...

PEH and GLC out

CG in

I do keep thinking this. PEH I expect to go. But I also get that feeling GLC really is not settled and if someone comes in with a deal that works, we just may take it.

There comes a point where it perhaps needs to be made clear to some of these players, you aren’t part of the plan, so either accept the move or spend a season not playing. Yes they’ll pick up a wage every week, but it will show any prospective future employing clubs what type of people they are that they place earning a wage for nothing over actually going out and playing, showing they still have something to offer.

The whole shifting players before bringing new ones is obviously just a position Levy has taken rather than reflecting an actual need.

We don’t have to register players like Ndombele or Lloris if we can’t find moves for them. The league won’t make us. If we register them that’s 100% down to us.

He is in he who shall be named’s first XI at the moment. They are definitely fucking with us.

I’m not sure it matters. Their owners will do what they want and Poch will have to suck it up. He didn’t know Palmer was coming in and looked pretty pissed off about it. I can’t see him taking Gallagher going too well either!

I think Poch is playing the game. Surely he knows whats going on. I doubt he will be keen to see CG go, he's used him in most the games so far

Not fussed about this one. We need a few great players or raw talent not squad numbers.

We have 4 good cm's, he'll get in the way of Sarr's development.
