But who drops out?
Most likely Saar, but it would lessen any drop off if Madison is injured.
Skipp's minutes would diminish though (is up to you if that's a good thing or bad thing ;) )
Saar would still get loads of minutes IMO.

But ATM the drop off is too great between the starters and the subs, hope that changes when Bentancur is fit and Gil returns, but there's no guarantees that Bentancur will return the same or be effective in Ange's system (it seems he has all the attributes needed though)

I’m hanging out hope (blind hope admittedly) for Schurrs/Adarabioyo, Johnson and Gallagher tomorrow, however we have to make that work. Then arrange transfers for Redondo and Marcos Leonardo for January.

My expectation is one of Bentancur or Sarr would become the alternative 6 with Bissouma. The one or the other would compete with Gallagher for 8 spot, and then Maddison and Lo Celso for 10 spot. Where Skipp fits in is the question.
A rotation option as inverted RB?

Not sure they are on a good way if they are willing to get rid of someone who started every match for the new manager to a direct opposition who struggles with the HG-ruling.

FFP or not, they will struggle to build a succesful project if they continue like that.
The deal has clear benefit for both sides which is why it is being entertained.

We need to convince Chelsea by offering 45 mil.+ for Gallagher ...and at the same time lower our PEH-demands to offload him... that's a long shot 😏😊

He reminds me a bit of Scholes but can actually tackle, thought he was great at Palace.
Would be a great addition and if we got him I’d be on board with PEH going along with lo celso who’s only got a year left on his contract.
Sarr, Mads, Biss, Benty, Skipp and Gallagher is a pretty dynamic set of midfielders.
He's not remotely in the same class as Scholes. He was a fantastic player

Quick update: We've started talks with Chelsea for Gallagher tonight. They're looking at 45 million plus potential add-ons, pending Hojbjerg's departure. The discussions are ongoing and haven't progressed significantly yet. Deal in stage unlikely right now
Would like to see this happen.
ange wants him
He’s hg
We’ve got money to spend
Chelsea need to sell
Their fans want him to stay

These bolded details make this one seem particularly far-fetched…

That’s why I said he reminds me a bit of Scholes, I haven’t seen anyone who could lace Scholes’ boots since he retired! How much would Scholes be worth in today’s money, £120m?

That's fair enough and I agree. I reckon you would struggle even at that much.

Chelsea are scrambling to meet PL profitability & sustainability targets for the 2023/24 season, and Gallagher as an academy player would go down as pure profit on their books. They need to show they have at least attempted to comply with these rules to avoid potentially receiving a transfer ban or even a points deduction in the future. Possibly one of the reasons why Levy has left this one so late, knowing he could squeeze Chelsea into a sale they might not want to make from a sporting perspective.

Chelsea have not sold us a player in over 20years, so I find it surprising we have even got this far. Would be shocked if this happened
Boehly doesn't care about rivalries/etc. He's also never dealt with Levy before (so he doesnt know what a giant PITA Levy is to deal with). 2 reasons why I am not writing this off.

Rather have Gallagher than PEH on this roster. I think he'd thrive in this system.

45mn is a reasonable fee for Gallagher. 2 years left on his contract + HG + current England international + selling to direct rival.

We should sign him at that price; especially if we sell Hojbjerg

I think Gallagher would score a decent number of goals for us! He is good at ghosting into the box late.

Guess it all comes down to if Atletico move for Højbjerg.
