5 out of 8 games away usually isn't a nice run but our away record is good so far this season. Need to win all 3 of the home games.

WHL needs to become a fortress.

Everton away will be tough. The rest are very hit and miss, but Everton this season are looking a real handful.

This season Last season Points difference

West Brom (h) 1-1 draw 1-0 win -2
Norwich (h) 1-1 draw 2-1 loss +1
Reading (a) 3-1 won 4-1 won 0
QPR (h) 2-1 win 3-1 win 0
Man Utd (a) 3-2 win 3-0 loss +3
A Villa (h) 2-0 win 2-0 win 0
Chelsea (h) 4-2 loss 1-1 draw -1
Soton (a) 2-1 win 2-1 win 0
Wigan (h) 1-0 loss 3-1 win -3
Man City (a) 2-1 loss 3-2 loss 0
Arsenal (a) 5-2 loss 5-2 loss 0
West Ham (h) 3-1 win 1-1 draw +2
Liverpool (h) 2-1 win 4-0 win 0
Fulham (a) 3-0 win 3-1 win 0

So far we are 1 point down on last season's results.

If we go by games played.

This season Last season Points difference
Newcastle (a) 2-1 loss Man Utd (a) 3-0 loss 0
West Brom (h) 1-1 draw Man City (h) 5-1 loss +1
Norwich (h) 1-1 draw Wolves (a) 2-1 win -2
Reading (a) 3-1 win Liverpool (h) 4-0 win 0
QPR (h) 2-1 win Wigan (a) 2-1 win 0
Man Utd (a) 3-2 win Arsenal (h) 2-1 win 0
A Villa (h) 2-0 win Newcastle (a) 2-2 draw +2
Chelsea (h) 4-2 loss Blackburn (a) 2-1 win -3
Soton (a) 2-1 win QPR (h) 3-1 win 0
Wigan (h) 1-0 loss Fulham (a) 3-1 win -3
Man City (a) 2-1 loss Villa (h) 2-0 win -3
Arsenal (a) 5-2 loss WBA (a) 3-1 win -3
West Ham (h) 3-1 win Bolton (h) 3-0 win 0

So points-wise this season we are 9 points worse off. We were 3rd but this season we are 6th.

Though I'd go find this thread and update (if anybody has updated the other teams' totals then please share). So wins against scousers and Fulham and we're still -1 on last season

Liverpool (h) 2-1 win 4-0 win 0
Fulham (a) 3-0 win 3-1 win 0

Assuming no repeat of last season's collapse of biblical proportions, this really is starting to look good.

Now for the knee-jerk if we lose to Everton away

Where are the kneejerkers btw?

I'm interested to know how a "clueless" manager can is actually able to pick a team to win matches? If we finish top 4 will he still be regarded as "clueless"?

I was looking at our fixture list and after tomorrow night we have a really nice run of fixtures through to Man Utd on the 20th January (Fulham A, Everton A, Swansea H, Stoke H, Aston Villa A, Sunderland A, Reading H, QPR A). The Everton game and Swansea game are the toughest in that run, but none of them make me very scared. Having played all the big clubs already, I think we're doing fairly well and if we can go on a good run over the christmas period (with Dembele back) then we could very well be looking back in January high up the table and wondering what we were worrying about.

Fingers crossed for that then.

cant see us getting anything vs QPR away.

I fancy us to spank QPR at Loftus. People say Arry will have point to prove etc but so will AVB and certain players.

We have to hope Arsenal don't win it. That would be horrible on so many levels.

You're not wrong, though we should be able to sleep at night as to win it when you're the 20th best side, needs a defence at the very least

Oops gone and said it sorry

That projected table seems encouragingly accurate. It even has Wigan staying up on less than 40 points and everything.

Since Harry was regarded as clueless by a substantial number of SC members, I think you've got your answer.
