Think you'll find Clubs rarely get what they initially demand, we asked for 40M for Modric and got about 30/33M. Villa are no different to any other Club, they're asking for 30M, Levy will be looking to haggle them down to 18-20M, 22M max.

I wouldnt bet on it not being a record transfer mate, doesnt mean we wouldnt agree to loan/sell them a player either.

I cant see Villa holding on that long. £22million prob will be the final figure £17mill starting bid.

If Benteke is adamant he's going, the chance of Villa achieving their premium tariff diminishes somewhat.

Solution for Villa? Accept £17m, claim the fee is undisclosed and pep talk your ITKs to say it was more.
