I considered starting a 'why always us?' thread, but decided against it. Im sure all fans have their regular gripes or times they feel cheated, but it does seem like we constantly get the raw end of the deal.

Lasagnegate

Chelsea win the CL (and sign hazard) while we miss out, only for the rule to change the following year

Leicester... FFS

Fulop throwing 3 in his own net on the last day so arsenal finish above us

Rule change this season meaning we dont go through tonight, added to the ridiculous injuries and typical timing of the asian cup.

Bar tonight, which realistically was the 'trophy to decide who loses to city' game, those other moments have been huge moments in our history, which by and large have inexplicably gone against us.

I've said it before but even the scum in their fa cup winning seasons, bar city and chelsea, they didnt have a tough game from the 3rd round on, and played 90% of those games at home. Chelsea when they beat us in the semi 2 years ago. 3 from set pieces and a 1/1,000,000 matic goal. This team is incredible and I'll support them always (and let myself get far too emotionally involved) but to win something instead of just being proud of being the nearly men would be nice
We all want to see the team win something but it's hard to know what to say after last night it seems we don't do semi-finals and semi-finals don't like us.
Having said that I did wonder pre game that we might not had done enough from the 1st leg with none of the front 3 missing and yet only managed one goal lead to take into the 2nd leg plus we were fortunate as Chelsea were better on the night and hit the woodwork twice.
I do feel for poch and this team as it seems that although he is one of the best manager's we have ever had he might be destined to win fuck all and that is a tough pill to swallow plus it's always Chelsea we mainly lose these high pressure games to very sickening.

Unbelievable that it always seems to be them that fuck us over when we are so close.
Not going to go through the points again as they've already been mentioned in here.

Wish Abramovich would fuck off and leave them in the shit to be honest.

Trouble is that although it kills me to say they are serial winners and always get through we have a lot to learn.

The Caribou Cup counts for sweet FA so I am not worried. I think with limited resources Poch is concentrating, and rightly so, on CL and the PL. That’s the end of beginning and end of it. Yes we got to a SF but will this Cup matter? In the greater scheme of things, fuck no.

It’s not gripes either. It just isn’t that important.

I think he played his best team last night though.

Poor first half. A valiant effort in the 2nd half, I think rose and winks really drove us on. I think taking Llorente off was the wrong move, he was growing into the game and balls were starting to stick. Should have took Lamela off for Moura who may have linked up better, felt that substitution killed our last twenty mins.

It was always going to be an uphill task after the attacking players we had missing. I thought once Llorente came of nothing stuck up front and we looked more under pressure.
The best side over the two legs won, but it showed the lack of quality we have in depth, even without players missing. They might not be a team yeah but they have some depth to the squad.

Don't worry. We might get 4th.
And your point being?
What about Liverpool?
Show me a team that when stripped to bare bones is capable of beating a fully stocked team the likes of Chelsea. Better still, show me one that can push them to the limit.

gutting to lose on pens but over the two legs we didnt do enough to win, 2nd half at home and 1st half away they were the better side, 1st half we were awful, showed no ambition and it cost us, it was a very average chelsea team that beat us over two legs, should have been braver 1st half imo, we just let them do what they want, two poor goals

Given that we had the lead I had hoped we’d be pragmatic. But we didn’t keep them at arms length. Very poor goals to give away - particularly the first.

We defended a lot better in the 1st leg.

What has Liverpool got to do with 11 years with no trophy.

I think he’s point is quite clear. 11 years is a long time for a club like ours to wait. It’s quite depressing for a side that used to be known as cup winners. Who cares what Liverpool are doing. What the hell has that got to do with anything whatsoever. It’s us I care about, and all I see is us choking in semi finals again and again and again and again...

Why not?.. Watch goon tv you'll see what happens when. A clubs fan base readily accepts top 4 above actually winning things.
Fuck me have we got that far down. The same road already?

Except they won the FA cup 3 times. We have won squat.
You missed diddley in front of squat.. from a fan point of view that remark looks like we've suddenly become real Madrid and we're too aloof to want to win a minor trophy before we've even gone past go?
