And Chelsea get Basel in their semi. Hmmm, given that Basel reminded me a little bit of Southampton who Chelsea recently lost to, think they may struggle with that. They can't cope with aggressive, fast pressing.

The top, top teams SEEM to have worked Barca out and don't fear them as much these days. Got Dortmund at 18/1 at the start of the tournament, so still got fingers crossed.

Stuck a couple quid on Basel at 7/1 to win the EL after they drew Chelsea. Basel are now outsiders. They'll scare the shit outta Chelsea.

Worth noting all EL semi finalists are CL drop outs. UEFA got their wish then I guess.

I fully expected Ger-Esp semi finals, just the other way round. Barca-Dortmund, Bayern-RM. Then hoping for a Barca-BM final.

Not that it's obviously fixed or anything, just didn't see UEFA wanting a Barca vs Real semi final. 2 more classico games where the two teams cancel each other out, it has to be a final or not at all. Barca-Bayern would have been an excellent final, too.

Dortmund need to be at 100% because they don't have much on the bench but they outplayed Madrid twice in the group stages, this is the best match up for them.

Yep, Real couldn't get to grips with Dortmund at all - they were lucky to even get a point out of the two matches. Think Mourinho would much rather have got Barca!

Be happy with Dortmund winning the CL outright.

Failing that I want an El Classico final. Barca v Real in the final of the European Cup on a Sat night at Wembley is a rather mouthwatering prospect in all honesty.

As mentioned in various places this season, one way to play Madrid is to give them the ball, their less effective this way because their built for the counter attack.

As Dortmund showed though, if you press them their not used to it and can't handle it.

Also hope for an all German final. Really don't want Basel to win the Europa though, their begging for cards, diving and rolling around on the floor pissed me off too much. Hope they get to the final though, obviously. I want Benfica to win it.

Hoping for a mixed final. Can see Barca v Real or Bayern v Dortmund at least twice a season EVERY year. Bayern v Real Madrid could be a good one, wouldn't complain about Dortmund v Barca though, although Dortmund's defence might struggle to contain Barca.
