Re paragraph one, absolutely.
I have no reason to think that would be a major shift. He has played for six different clubs in his career. He's clearly an odd character, and more complex than you're average footballer partly because he doesn't help himself I don't think, partly because of what he's gone through, but I wouldn't say he's been happy to sit out his contract. Excuse the clumsy sentence.
As SB alluded to, I'd rather have him on the bench if needs be to get a goal or protect a lead than have him at another club for the next four months. And if Kane gets injured, he and Poch will need to earn their money to really step up.
Previously in his career he's always had someone bigger or at least at the same level willing to take him on, and certainly people who can pay his wages which has been a big factor in his decision making by all accounts (albeit for charitable reasons at times).
So that's why he's never sat out a contract, and even if he hasn't sat out a contract, he has clearly caused upheavel at other clubs in the short period before leaving which gives me concerns as to what trouble he might cause when that period is extended to 5 months.
Considering there's already been talk about him falling out with players/siding with Kaboul etc, I just see it as being much more likely that he'll be a hindrance rather than a help in the next few months.
I hope I'm wrong though.
