Did you see him celebrate his goal. What a complete asshole!

Do you want us to feel sorry for you? Feck off

He was just dedicating it to his brother.

If that guy was your brother, would you not still care for him and support him?

That's a bit harsh, Michey. Did you watch the game? He was very emotional when he scored. We don't know all that's gone on but at the same time, he's still his brother.

Meh, I've seen worse. Fowler that time pretending he was snorting a line of coke was a worse celebration imo.

Even if my brother committed the most horrific crimes, I'd still support their plight.

I wouldn't support their actions, but I'd give them support in an effort that they'd one day find remorse and peace.

It was pretty funny, though.

If Cahill believed his brother had been wrongly convicted in a major miscarriage of justice it would be a different matter; since it appears he's been done bang to rights, Cahill's made himself look a bit of a knob. What next? Barton showing public solidarity with his brother?

My husband was at that game, he said the stick Fowler was getting from the Everton fans was bad (but funny), good on Robbie for doing that! He got fined £60000 by Liverpool though for doing it, bet that's the most expensive line he's ever had!

Stolen from the joke thread in chat, thanks Huggy:

In light of Tim Cahill's "handcuff" goal celebration in support of his brother doing porridge, Newcastle have denied that Joey Barton is planning to chase his colleagues with an imaginary axe....

Do Everton still have a game with Newcastle on the books? Because there is always the hope that irony and karma will join forces and commission Barton tol kick Cahill in his pathetic face when he is on the ground.

Barton's not allowed anywhere near Liverpool under the terms of his bail. But kicking people when they're down or when their backs are turned is what he does.

I've heard of people getting barred from a pub or a club, but from a whole city? He must be a bad article.

I kinda fell sorry for the victim in all this. The attack left the victim partially blind by the unprovoked attack. Yes, he is still his brother but, if he wanted to show that he was thinking of him why not go and visit him in prison instead of making apublic statement like that. It's almost as if he is condoning what his brother has done. I'm sorry but, I have no sympathy for Cahill or his brother as he has been found guilty of a particularly nasty crime and he is now in the right place.

If it was me I would be disgusted by what my brother had done and wouldn't want to flout the fact that my brother was nothing more than a lowlife thug that had been convicted of beating the shit out of a man in no fit state to defend himself.
