His name screams gooner offside trap circa 1990.

Would of fit in with Linnigan and the rest.

Number of clubs interested according to reports - including United of course. The 'next Seamus Colman' apparently...

We can all take the piss, but remember Everton signed Coleman direct from Ireland for 60k.

Yep, H&W has it bang on, in my opinion. People were probably saying similar things to Hoopspur (no offence Hoop) about Coleman when Everton picked him up. Similar things were probably also said about the likes of Shane Long, too. We can't be writing people off just because they're not known to us. We're not that shallow, are we?

People complain because Mussachio is playing in La Liga, Jan/Eriksen/Chadli all played in the Eredivisie, Vlad was in the Romanian league and all are shit leagues compared to the PL......signing a kid out of Ireland would make their heads explode when quality of opponents is discussed.....

I hope not, I haven't heard of nine out of ten of the people we've bought over the last few years.:)

Wasn't talking about that at all - maybe misunderstood my post. Just hate the title 'the next....'. The player himself might well be the 'dogs bollocks' or in fact the new 'zennor zorro' (a local joke for Coopsie for those that don't know), but why can't he be just the first Brian Lenahan (unless he isn't of course!!). :D

No, I'd be really happy if we could pick up someone from St Blazey who no one had ever heard about. Fanbloodytastic. (y)

Grrrrrrrrrrr.....:D (not really).

We all used to have signatures at the end of our posts. They seem to have disappeared - unless that's my settings. Mine was a disclaimer which asked people to read my posts with a smile on their face and consider what I wrote largely a joke which it is nearly always meant to be. I don't take things too seriously after all. Wish it was still there!!

Every time I search about Irish sport on YouTube, I swear YT is staring back at me blankly for a few seconds before realising I'm legitimately requesting the content, and then it spits out utterly worthless match highlights.

Roy Keane signed for Forest from Cobh Ramblers for £47k and it looks like they got a pretty good deal, I have no idea about this young kid but looking at a lot of full backs we've acquired over the years there has to be a chance that this young lad could prove a better buy
Certainly not a player to dismiss just because someone gave him a moniker

He's also been used as CB. And at 188 cm he sure got the size for it.
