Don't you fellas remember inter milan away a few years ago when we had a 3-0 lead from the first leg?

AVB said he thought getting an away goal would end the tie, so thats how he set us up with Defoe & Adebayor up top, and we almost went out.

Lets just take a 1-0 loss and move on.

But we didn't go out! To dare is to do! And it's our way to give our fans heart attacks while watching.

They need at least 3 goals so they can’t be too ultra defensive.

I think Poch would want us to go for the jugular, from the off, to get an early goal, which would deflate them and might just make them decide to ease down to conserve energy for the BL.

Keep it tight first half and pick them off on the counter 2nd half when they have to start throwing more men forward

12/1 for Dortmund to qualify tonight.....

Now 9/1. Quite a few bets going in.

I mean if we fuck it up then we will deserve to get all the shit thrown at us from other fans and the media.

I don’t think it will come to that though.

We will concede in the first ten minutes, then there will be a dodgy sending off, then we will have a perfectly good goal disallowed and then all we will hear about for forever and a day is how Poch really needs to win something.

This attitude is pathetic. From the first leg they had one decent attempt. Yes they've got Reus back but we've got Kane and Dier back.

I'd expect 5-2-1-2 with 3 xCB's and Dier in front of them, it's going to be slow and defensive i'd imagine, plus i'd assume Davies is playing so effectively 4 x CB's.

We need to be be savvy, slow the play down with injuries, slow throw ins, time waste - effectively become Watford. Make them more frenetic and prone to counters.

Was anyone else ultra calm about this until today? The thought of not going through has hit me in the last few hours, and now I'm shitting it.

I'm hoping Poch ensures the players are in a more stable frame of mind than me!

There's only way to guarantee this. Put £500 on Dortmund to go through. I can't remember the last time I won a bet. At least be compensated.

Not sure why people are being so pessimistic, we beat them comfortably at our place and what did anyone see that night to be scared of ? have some faith for christ sake and Spurs to get a couple of goals.Hope we never have to go to war with some of the posters on here :(

I don't know mate there's a few I wouldn't mind going to war with :cautious: ;)

Hopefully Poch reminds the team about Juve away last year. 2-0 down early on, came back to control the game and deserve a draw.
Yes it’s a different situation but they need to remember what they’re capable of, even if we do concede early.

I was much more nervous about the first game given our sliding form and injuries. I wouldn't be a spurs fan if I didn't feel nervous about this tie - first 15-20 mis are critical. If we can establish our rhythm during this time & prevent any silly goals then we will always have a counterattacking threat - if they outrun us and establish their own rhythm quickly, we're gonna be in for a lot of bum clenching for the entire 90+ mins! Either way, we've wanted to compete at this level, against this type of opposition so there's all to play for - no fear, COYS!!!!

Borussia Dortmund will not play with a nine or ten man defence like the teams we have played against in the last three games, we will score and we will not lose and we will not be knocked out, enjoy tonight because glory awaits.
