Watched the game live dahn the boozer and we were many times better than last Sunday - but that wasn't hard. We played at a much higher tempo, less dwelling on the ball and made some good breaks. Shame we couldn't get the second goal.

Good work by Jenas for the first goal - Berbatov pointing to where he wanted it and JJ delivered. Just failed to get onto another fine defence-splitting through ball by JJ later as well.

Zokora had a good game and Steed was solid too. Not much sign of Lennon going past his man and putting in dangerous crosses though.

Mug of the game has to be Chimbonda; done like a kipper for their goal. Note to Ramos: apart from a monk who has been living in the foothills of a mountain near Tibet for the past 60 years, everyone in the world knows Chimbonda cannot kick the ball with his left foot. So playing him at left back will continue to cost us.

Just want to add that Bentley did nothing magical for their goal (although I think he is a very good player). I watched the game on a stream and, when the pass was flying to Bentley, I was yelling at CHimbonda "don't get sucked in!!". It was no surprise that Chimbonda kept running in like a headless chicken and all Bentley had to do was take the ball in his stride. Most Premiership standard players would have been able to do that - there was no pressure on him because of Chimbonda's inept defending.

Bentley didn't make Chimbonda look silly. Chimbonda made Bentley look magical. The touch was nothing special since Chimbonda didn't manage to put any pressure on Bentley. All Chimbonda did was show Bentley about 10 yards of grass to run onto. Chimbonda should have realized he was never getting the ball and stood off and pushed Bentley out for a goal kick/corner.

Hudd has one good one bad at the moment. Although to be fair he was surrounded by fools last week against Newcastle.

I disagree that Lennon has no end product, because there are enough games to show that he does. But, it's limited and his crossing is nothing of Bentley's. But they are very different RHS midfielders, despite both having a penchant for cutting in to the middle.

and im not saying spurs as a team as no end product-im saying lennon-even your own manager said he needs to work on his end product-remind me again when hes not even had a look in under capello???

you might be the second highest scorers in the league, but i bet your one place behind derby for conceding goals..

As has already been pointed out, Chimbonda needs no help whatsoever in looking silly, particularly when he's playing at LB. We were very lucky to get away with another of his cock-ups today.

Hutton was in acres of space several times yesterday and Berbatov opted to play it through the middle instead. Hutton can only do so much himself. Players need to spot his runs and create space so he can run at opponents. If he holds the ball it's because he's looking for the right pass, which is more desirable than one of Dawson's trademark hopeful punts up field.

Hi SQ - glad you saw Berbs as MOTM too - beginning to think I was the only spurs fan who saw it that way - he was magic again wasn't he

I think the Times had him as MOTM too - gave him a 9 - but also not a great write up - strange one - anyway may be wrong about that - just from memory as usual

I'm getting very worried about Gilberto - I was so happy to see a Brazilian player at the Lane - and yes it is early days etc - but mmmm he doesn't look up to it, so far anyway, I'm afraid - hope he proves me wrong of course

Not only the newspapers were horribly negative in their reporting, but also MOTD2 just now, that muppet Adrian Chiles, described the match as "of mediocre quality" and showed our highlights last as always. I wonder if they actually watched it, as the commentators on the stream were praising most of the quality of Football played, and thought it a good match, and so did I. :bowdown:
