Best window ever

I know it's a boring, sitting on the fence opinion, but I'll wait until we see the players in action before judging them.

I'd say that's a pretty sensible way to be.

Okay, done that. But I'm not catching anything which suggest why you may be so desperate to get rid of Ade and Lamela.

I say in brackets something to the effect of not neccassary because I want to get rid of them? Anyway the approach to this window is as I say further down is what I was happy about. Defence, pace up front. Clearing a lot of deadwood this has been a fantastic window for these reasons in my opinion. IF we were able to get a DM and a CF over the line plus the remaining players poch doesn't like are got shot of them I think most would be hard pressed to think of a better one. Whether poch can make a team of them and get us playing well we shall see.

As with every window we will end up saying we need another player. I think we are all in agreement a striker and centre midfielder is needed and we will all be happy with this summers business...however I think we will end up with one of those areas short and then people will be in up roar come 6.05pm tomorrow night.

Not just you smc. This place has gotten quite angry the last few years. Everyone seems to want to rant and take it out on other posters. I do it myself sometimes.

Just think we should take a step back and chill. We will buy players or we wont. We will do well this season or we wont. No need to fight each other about it. We are all trying to do the best for spurs especially levy. It can be frustrating but we are trying to build a stadium. We will probably have to be patient for the next couple of years.

Ok, I'm getting a teeby weeny bit tense, less than 24 hrs to go. Praying we finally get Berahino, or even Austin....... beginning to fear another Rasiak. I understand we don't have the money Chelsea or Citeh have, but I wish we would finish our business a tad earlier in the window. Wanayama and Berahino would do very nicely so I'm camping out on my prayer mat until tomorrow evening.

But to be fair most teams are doing very late deals.

The early deals are essentially players out of contract, players with release clauses and players who clubs have massively overpaid for the players.

Utd are going in with 1 striker, City are also lacking up front and seem to be buying on the last day and most teams in the market are leaving their business til late.

West Brom probably wouldn't sell Berahino without already having replacements done. Now they have Rondon and Lambert they could possibly sell. Not sure we'd have been smart to offer £30m just to make it happen a couple of weeks earlier.

Southampton would also ask for a sky high price for Wanyama, if he throws a hissy fit they might be forced to sell, again not sure we should just throw stupid money at him to do the deal.

I don't think we'll sign another Rasiak. Lyall Thomas the Sky Sports Spurs guy quoted Pochettino's quotes after the game and said we should take note of them, the quotes about our long-term transfer strategy and that under Pochettino we will note sign someone just for the sake of plugging a gap. He would rather use youngsters from the academy than sign a make-do first-team player. We will sign someone from our long-term list of targets for each position or use academy players to plug the gaps IMO.

That means if no Berahino or other striking targets then the likes of Shaq Coulhirst maybe involved this season.

Christ, you would of thought the whole "spurs have signed the Beatles" fiasco would of put people off this kind of optimism. Fair play!
