Upon the question, "I repeat, how would be playing alongside Rooney and Ronaldo?", I would love to hear Berbs counter question the bbc reporter and ask him, "How would you like to work for ITV alongside Geraint Vincent" (some dude on ITV I just checked up)

Berba is so cool, he'll do gangster movies when he retires from football.

I get the feeling with Berba that if we were to accept a bid he'd be happy to go, but if we don't accept a bid, he'd stay and continue to enjoy his football here. Don't think he'd push a for a move, much the same as Carrick really.

agreed. I think that he wants to stay, but if we get a high bid from a club them I think we will accept. If we dont get a high bid then we will stay and carrying on playing for Spurs, as a happy yid.

Look, if he stays in the summer then that's great. If he does go then I know we'll get a very good price for him and we'll be able to replace him. Ramos has been pretty successful and never had Berbatov play for him before. I trust that he'll be able to find a very good replacement. Ramos is much more important to the club than Berbatov.

But that's not wanting to stay – if he wanted to stay, he wouldn't leave even if a high bid did come in and would outright say, "I'm not leaving," when he was linked to other clubs, rather than making vague non-commitals. That's 'loyalty', something I believe is absent in most footballers and fans would do better than to think otherwise.

He's happy with his lot, which he should be - he's at a decent team, but is keeping his options open if a bigger and better teams wants him. I think is the most I think you can expect.

Anyone one else a little concerned over his reactions bang on at 0.23 seconds? The way he looks, his facial expression when the journo asks (after bringing up Manure) "what about the future?" And then looks straight down, well away from the camera!

He was probably thinking, 'Not this shit again,' but he's too diplomatic to tell the twat to shove his idiot questions up his arse.

But it's not shit, is it? They're obviously going to keep asking it, they're journos, and he's never denied it or come out and categorically said he's not going anywhere. The best reaction, if he wanted to remain non-commital, would be to laugh it off, but that doesn't seem his way.

If you have the ability to work for the best firms in the world would you categorically say that you would snub any approach from them? Why would you do it if they can give you the chance to show the whole world how good you are? Because the people in your current firm love you? But how can you know in advance that you won't be loved more in the new firm?

I think that part of the problem is that pretty much everyone in football has this knack of being pretty non-commital in everything they say. That's why we always find it refreshing when someone actually tells it how they see it.

Even if Berbs isn't interested in going to Utd (and taking my spurs specs off, he'd be fucking mad not to really wouldn't he?) and is perfectly happy to stay at Spurs next season, he's not going to come out and say "I will definately be a spurs player on sept 1st" for two reasons at least.

1. You don't want to burn any bridges
2. If the board consider an offer too good to turn down and Berbs then decides to accept the offer, we would all start screaming that Berbs catagorically said he wasn't going anywhere and giving him the Judas treatment.

Players, managers, coaches all say often in interviews "Never say never in football".

It's all to do with the way any professional football player / manager etc are trained to deal with the media.

All imo of course.

I'm not saying he should. I've said previously in this thread that I think people expect too much of players, and that all this 'loyalty' stuff is, generally, rubbish.

I was challenging that the media asking him this stuff is 'shit', which it isn't. They know there's a story there, they know it's in the balance whether Berbatov leaves at the end of the season, they know he's interested in Man U thanks to overtures from his weasel of an agent. They're not going to let it go unless he outright denies it. Which, as we've already established, he's not going to do.

Yeah but does he swing his eyes to the left or the right when he is telling the truth?
Someone ask him what colour his car is and look at his eyes please.

First car JJetset. That's the one to ask.

All humans place their eyes to THEIR central or lower right when lying. THEIR upper right signifies searching for an answer.

Watching that interview, Daniel Levy can now expect to swell the profits of THFC considerably. Berbatov will DEMAND a move in the summer, I'll lay my scarf on it.

I'd even go so far to say that his reactions indicated it was a formality and he knows he's gone in the Summer.

Quite simply not true. Thats why you'd ask what was their first car, so you can gauge what way the eyes move for a memory or fabrication. Also, moving the eyes doesn't signify lying it just means someone is using their imagination, they could just be structuring the answer/sentence in their mind first.

The '1st car colour' question is a a classic one used to determine the hand that is written with. Berbatov is right handed as seen on his signature pic.

The eyes never lie. Try it in the office tomorrow with someone. Ask them to lie regarding 3 questions from the past.

Colour of first car, age they lost their virginity and what they would do if a burglar entered their home. Watch the eyes.

Depending on the probing question, a right hander will look to their left to tell the truth.

Police interrogation tactic.

I think it has nothing to do with Berbatov telling the truth or lying. He doesn't really know if he will stay or go and I think he wants to make a decision after the season, when he can see whether we are going places or not.
