Oh, but it is pronounced as 'es' and has been misused for many a year before. The letter 's' derived from the romanic calendar and the alphabet in english was born, hence the latter translation of 'est' which the french now use.

I've always been a big fan of the latin version.
Was close to getting a tat of it at one point, but learned my lesson when I got then old badge tattooed on me then the club go and change it one month later.
I'd get an "N17" tat next, but I'm not even sure that this will be safe going forward.

I did Latin at school, and the teacher explained that most words are pronounced exactly as they are written. So I would pronounce it Owdery Est Fackery.
