Lets take a closer look at some corrupt decisions that have went arse anals way this season. Liverpool (A) Suarez one on one with goalie bought down by mertesacker , clear red & pen nothing given. QPR (H) Arteta goal 5 yards offside at least goal given Fulham(H) Scandalous pen given in stoppage time Everton(A) Jelavic flagged offside when at least 3 yards on & 1 on 1 with goalie West Brom (H) Cazorla,s famous dying swan impression gets a penalty and mertesacker impersonates a goalie and no pen given plus foul leading up to the 2nd arsenal goal. Wigan (A) Walcott not even touched goes down and gets pen, same game gibbs blocks ball with both hands in the penalty area nothing given yet again. Southampton ( A) Clear pen not given for southampton in 7th minute, southampton 1 on 1 blown up for offside. Liverpool (H) Mertesacker handballs 3 times in 1 action pen not given West Brom ( A) Foul on shane long in the area yet another penalty not given Norwich (H) I think everybody saw what happened. SO THERE YOU GO I THINK THAT SAYS IT ALL

Blimey... you watch a lot of Arse***.

Gooner bingo for tonight.

I'm guessing Cazorla will go down without a touch in between the box and the side line, and they'll score from the resulting wrongly awarded free kick.

Just remembered about their home game vs West Ham they got moved from Boxing Day.

Surprised they are still going ahead tonight with trains delayed into Finsbury Park by 3 minutes.

I'm convinced there was something corrupt about 'lasagne-gate' and Fulop last season. Whether or not it was directly instigated by Arsenal is difficult to say, but I wouldn't rule it out.

I would love to believe it but I just think they are coincidences and there seems to be bad luck surrounding our club and fortune surrounding Arsenal.

Where money is involved, it is wise to keep an open mind.

As the homicide detectives say - "cui bono?"

For, when looking at who might have committed a crime, often the best place to start is with the question: "who benefits?"

I'm more inclined to believe in corruption than luck. The Fulop incident was so obvious he might as well have been wearing a gooner beanie hat whilst pretending to flap at the ball.

I always think how he got there in the first place though, surely Ben Foster would have played apart to miss the game...or maybe he was just actually injured. Another example of the Spurs curse.

It's not like Tim Krul is out and will miss Newcastle's last game at home to the Goon...oh

Yeah that was extremely dodgy. I guess it wouldn't be absurd for him to have been approached with a tidy sum and told to have a mare...? Wouldn't be on a lot of money, in the twilight years of his career...

You've got me started now!

It's easy to spot "something" if you look hard enough.

All clubs fans think they are hard done by and don't get enough decisions or "lucky" breaks etc

If you go through all their games ( perish the thought ) and watch every decision you will find they concede corners/free kicks that were wrongly given, have fouls given against them that weren't, have offside decisions go against them etc
The difference is they take advantage of some of their good fortune. Imagine if Adebayor finds himself one on one with the keeper this weekend in the 93rd minute but is clearly offside yet its been missed...we wont remember it because Ade will either hit the keeper or sky it.

What you say is undeniably true. However, if you look at the penalty that the goons were awarded against Norwich - and how it was awarded - and contrast that with the fact that we haven't had a single penalty this season, then it becomes difficult to avoid leaning towards some kind of conspiracy theory. Not necessarily anti-Spurs, but possibly pro-other teams. There is, after all, a history to support this.

I simply do not believe that in thirty-two games this season our players have not been fouled in the penalty area in a way that was equal to, or worse, than what was done to Giroud on sunday. Nor do I believe that in thirty-two games no referee - or assistant - has seen this.

I agree with the first bit, but I reckon the reason we haven't had any penalties in the league this season is mainly to do with Bale being the main threat in the box, and him having a reputation for diving. He should have got a penalty against Sunderland, and maybe a couple more in other games, but I can't really think of any close calls involving any of our other players.

Going back to SugarRay's point - personally I'm not really thinking about incidents here and there such as dodgy penalties and offside decisions. It's the big matches such as us v West Ham, and the gooners v West Brom, where things were incredibly suspicious in both games, with both occasions benefiting the gooners by several million.

I remember going to the Spurs v Fulham game on the last day of last season and naturally being gutted that we'd lost 3rd, but thinking that's just how it goes sometimes. Then I got back to my hotel and turned on Match of the Day, saw Fulop's performance, and immediately thought 'that's a fix'. I wasn't looking for excuses or ways of defending our pathetic end to the season - it was just that obvious.

It's gullible and naive to believe that the biggest league in the world money wise, the EPL, is the ONLY "institution" which is totally clean of biases and corruption. Even your very UK politicians are corrupt, your church, your courts and I can go on. So many of you seem to believe that the EPL is run by genuine Saints.

If this thread was on RAWK, we'd be absolutely ripping the piss out of it.

I'll await the SC Meltdown account to be created soon enough.
