Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp will pull out all the stops to sign Aston Villa's Ashley Young in January
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is determined to sign Aston Villa's Ashley Young in the January transfer window and will offer them a number of different players in any deal.
Villa are determined to keep hold of the winger but Redknapp will not give up and would even consider loaning out Jonathan Woodgate as part of the deal, according to The Sun.
He is also ready to ready to offer the Midlands club a deal that could involve Robbie Keane, David Bentley, Nico Kranjcar and Jamie O’Hara or moving in the opposite direction.
Redknapp wants Young to help his side retain their spot in the Champions League this season by finishing fourth in the Barclays Premier League again.
The England international is out of contract in 18 months' time and could move on following Gerard Houiller's poor start to the season.
He has so far refused the offer of a new deal at Villa Park and is prepared to run his contract down and leave for nothing if Houllier do not let him go.
Houiller may, therefore, consider cutting his losses and sanction the new year move.
Young missed the 2-1 Boxing Day defeat home clash against Spurs with a knee injury
